“Stay here”
Although not right in the centre of the city, The Duke Hotel is a perfect place to stay. The hotel's courtesy shuttle runs to and from the city centre several times a day. The staff couldn't do enough and the hotel was spotless the entire time we were there. Highly recommended.
“Really pleased with the package.well worth the money!”
I went to rome for the football match and wanted a Hotel that was not to far from the stadium but yet not too close. This was ideal and if Arsenal get to the final in may, then my friend and i will be using the Duke Hotel again.
“Very Impressed!”
The hotel itself was always clean and tidy. Our room was cleaned daily to a high standard. Services such as laundry were reasonably priced and dealt with very quickly. The staff were very helpful especially front desk staff. Advised on places to visit, eat etc. The hotel shuttle stops at a convenient area which is close to all the shops you need but also a good place in which to catch the metro or a taxi to colloseum, vatican city etc. It is in a nice quite area, which is a nice get away from the main city areas, but is still situated close enough to visit the local attractions at ease. All in all me and my partner felt at home in this hotel and we experienced no problems what so ever and would recommend it to anyone. If we are to go back, we will definetly be booking The Duke again.
“Duke Hotel - Definately go back there and recommend to friends.”
The title says it all - couldn't have chosen a better hotel. After a long tiring day in Rome it was a pleasure to return to a comfortable hotel where all the staff were very polite and helpful. English spoken staff. Excellent breakfast every morning. Best of all shuttle that took you into Rome :)
“Fantastic Rome Hotel”
This hotel was fantastic. As soon as you walked through the door staff were there to help you and were brilliant. The room was lovely and very clean. The hotel is a little out of the city centre but there is a free shuttle bus that runs every 45 mins. Phoning for them to come and get you was so easy as every member of staff has perfect English. If I ever visit Rome again I will definitely stay here.
“Not Impressed”
Good hotel. Not central location. They have a shuttel bus to the centre, but you can't trust this. Not very helpful on the reception. Clean room. Nice neighbourhood.
“Clean, tidy, comfy - Bit far from city”
Place is excellent.. Has a free bus to/from city every 15/30mins or so (With limited spaces) but not much of a problem. about a 10/15min drive from the Spanish steps (about 10euro by cab at night)
“Good Value Hotel”
Good Value Hotel. Clean, nice and helpful stuff. Nice and quiet residential area.
“Good but out of town”
The hotel was nice but the mattress was a bit hard for my back. Clean and with plenty of room. The reception staff were very friendly altough the breakfast staff could sometimes not be found. The breakfast was good although after a while it did get a litle samey. The hotel is slightly out of town but they do provide a minibus. Unfortunately it only runs every 45 mins from 8 am to 10 pm and as there is only 7 seats it can get booked up. The 52 bus stop is just around the corner (ask reception) and that takes you into Piazza San Silvestro (near Trevi fountain and the Pantheon).
“Hotel pictures are deceiving , not impressed”
I was not impressed by the Duke Hotel though when I was initially booking the hotel pictures looked brilliant. when we got to the hotel our room was not ready we had to wait 30minutes or so mean while we asked to have tea service which never arrived after asking the reception three times Food at the hotel was over priced with small portions in make shift dinning room which was very cold with very poor service The room we stayed in was cold with no tea facilities so therefore had to order room service, there was no iron in the room either Over all did not enjoy my time at the hotel
