“good hotel on city frindge”

hotel located in university precinct, lots of students around weekdays, hotel 10 minut walk to metro underground station, 5minute to tram that travels to vaitcan city, local shops close by including laundramat . pizza places close by but not heaps of restaurants, breakfast large variety, great scrambled eggs . hotel restaurant reasonable but not open every night, rooms comfortable. would stay there again.

“American Sized Hotel Room Near Roma Termini”

OK, the location of the hotel was the only draw back. It is a 15 minute walk from the train station and on the opposite side of all the tourist attractions. Having said that, the hotel was great! There are signs of pending remodeling, but we were there to see the sites not the hotel. The room was as large as normal American sized rooms which was awesome considering that european hotels are small. We also had a balcony, wow! Staff was very helpful and coutious, free internet and the breakfast was better than most places we've stayed. Overall I would highly reccommend this place to anyone going to Rome. Also since it is around a college campus there are few affordable places to eat which will help you save money considering that places near any attraction are super expensive.

Area recommendations

Any place in this City should be ok, as long as you do not mind a walk.

“Excellent clean hotel”

The hotel itself was excellent. Very large spacious rooms, free internet, good breakfast selection, and friendly staff. The hotel itself is located 2 subway/metro stops away from the main train station, and about a 5 minute walk to the nearest metro station. There is a bus nearby but it drops you off in a dark street near the main train station which is very questionable to be walking alone at night. I didn't feel safe walking alone at night back to the hotel even for 5 minutes around the hotel neighbourhood but i felt that way about most parts of Italy.

Area recommendations

I would recommend getting a hotel near the main train station or the Colosseum.

“Good choice of hotel for Rome visit.”

Good hotel, friendly staff, quiet lpcation, good breakfast, 5 mins from metro station, bus stop to main rail station outside hotel. From main station (Termini) buses available to go to all the tourist sites.

Area recommendations

Collosseum area for the major Roman remains although there are remains all over Rome. Also the Vatican for St Peter's and the Vatican museums.

“Best hotel for ISS, Roma”

Everything was as expected, the fee was limited, with reference to the town area and service quality, wifi connection was indeed available both in room and in public areas, and it was good. Breakfast was almost perfect, room was clean and wide, maybe the bath was a bit small, as the desk. NIce terrace in the room.

“Good value and friendly staff”

After a initial problem with this hotel ( when we arrived from london we were told there was a problem with our rooms as there was a problem with the plumbing that could not be fixed in one day we were told to sit for a while whilst it was sorted. 15 mins later I was advised that the problem was sorted and we got two very good rooms!! After this I would say that this Hotel was great the staff were very helpfull and friendly and the breakfast was good. The Hotel is quite a long way out but near to the metro. We found a little bar near by where the beers were cheap. The area was fine and quiet and the rooms were quiet. all in all after a dodgy start this Hotel came up trumps

Getting there

If you have time take the local train from the Airport it goes to at least 2 stations that cross with the Metro and costs 8.5 euros compared to 14 euros on the main airport train

“Good hotel”

We had very big, well-presented room .' Cleanness of the hotel was excellent. Very big choice at Breakfast as well. However, staff at the reception was not as helpful and kind as I had expected. Hotel is good located, only a few minutes walk from Tube station. Nearby there are a lot of cheap take away bars,which serve really good pizza!

Area recommendations

To feel real 'Rome spirit' go to Trastevere area.See real Rome life,walk through narrow, cobbled street. Especially in the evening. Amazing!

“Great Choice!”

This was the last hotel we stayed in on a two week-multi city-European vacation. This was by far the nicest hotel we stayed in, it was also the most Americanized hotel. This hotel had air conditioning! (I know it sounds absurd to be excited about air conditioning, but the 4 star hotel we stayed at in London did not) The staff was very friendly with great recommendations for dinners. The free internet access in the lobby was definitely a plus as we were traveling "light" without laptops. The complimentary breakfast was a great way to start your day and the hotel was close enough to a metro stop. The little balcony was nice and the neighborhood was OK. From the outside this hotel may not look like much but it is definitely worth the price and a great place to stay if you are looking for a hotel like the ones you are accustomed to in the US.

“You shouldn't be disappointed”

Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. I really don't speak itallian but the hotel staff communicated just fine in english. Hotel cleaning service was excellent and trust worthy. Complimentary breakfast was exceptional and the staff in the dining were always watching to make sure the food was replentished, fresh and well presented. This is not a 5 star hotel but exceptional Best Western hospitality and service. At a Best Western level, I would give my stay a 10 definately.

Area recommendations

I stayed outside the busy central Rome area in the university district, north of the train terminal. Convenient and within 1/4 mile of the Metro Subway. Not a lot to see or explore in this area but definately safe and prices were lower than central Rome. Didn't buy a metro pass. I found that buying a one way ticket for 1 euro was less expensive since I really went into central Rome, stayed during the day then returned in the evening. Total round trip 2 euros

When to go

I was there at the end of March. Weather was sunny (mid 60's) easily half the number of tourists compared to Summer. No lines to get into St. Peters or the Vatican museum. Having been there off season I would not want to go during the summer when it is hotter and more crowded.
