“50th Birthday Break”

My husband and I have just returned from a four night break in Heidelberg to celebrate our 50th birthdays. We found the hotel staff very efficient and pleasant, our room spotlessly clean, the beds lovely and comfy and the room decor pleasant . The hotel had some nice touches like chocolates in the room and aromatherapy sprays for pillows to help you sleep ( not that you needed it as the rooms were very quiet ) We did not opt for the hotel breakfast as there were numerous places closeby to have the breakfast you want, when you want it, and at a fraction of the price! Again we cannot comment on the restaurant as we ate out every night in Heidelberg old town. The hotel is centrally located and well positioned for walking to the old town where you are spoilt for choice for good restaurants. We would recommend this hotel and would stay here again if we came back to Heidelberg.

“Excellent Base”

The hotel was welcoming. It is the first time we have stayed in a hotel on the continent that has the facility to plug UK electrical appliances directly into the wall without the aid of an adaptor. A good base to see the Christmas Markets. Breakfast in the hotel is 19.5 euros each, much cheaper to go to a local restaurant, of which there are plenty.

“One of the better hotels I've stayed at in Germany”

The price was reasonable and the people were very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast is excellent, though expensive. Very nice hotel.

“Great hotel”

Everything was as expected. Too many noisy guests on streets but I guess its normal at that time of year.

“Crown Plaza Heidelburg”

Everything was great except having to pay 19.00 euros each night to park in the hotel garage. It should be free of charge if you are staying at the hotel.

“Heidelberg Christmas markets”

The room was great. The hotel was located near the beginning of the "shopping" district. In each little park along the way there was a Christmas market. The hotel recommended an authentic German restaurant and it was of the best meals of the trip. We enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at this restaurant. Hotel staff was very friendly. We had a Club room so we got lots of perks, including private gathering place that had drinks, dinner, breakfast, lunch, and snacks during the day. Business office within with Internet access. We very pleased with the hotel, its location, and our room was lovely.

“A Great Hotel”

The Hotel is in a great location as you start out at one end of the old town shopping area and walk through it to the castle. The pool and sauna area is very nice for a dip and no children are alloud after 7PM.
