Staff was great and helpful. Location of hotel was near restaurants and shopping. I was able to walk everywhere I needed to go. Will absolutely book this hotel again soon.

The hotel itself is perfectly fine. We were well attended to, the only improvement would be more furniture as the room was like an empty space with just two beds. Two straight back chairs on the balcony. A small desk, no closet to speak of and no drawers at all. The location is great as it's near everything. However, it is very noisy throughout the night due to barking dogs! But with a pair of ear plugs, this was a good stay. Good security, with a gate locked at 11pm. Buzzer rarely needed, as the desk people were vigilant of our arrival.

The only thing good, is that the hotel is located in a good spot. Parking sucked, we ended up parking blocks away from the location. We did not have a blanket, we asked and they said they had none. We had only 2 pillows. The room was so basic nothing on the walls. It looks nothing like the photo shown here. It was white walls on a concrete - not kidding - bed with a simple mattress on it. Would not stay here again.

I’m sorry to heard that you had a bad experience staying with us, we always try to do our best to make our guests happy. We will take into account what you have mentioned in the post because we try to make sure our staff is there to solve your concerns at any time at the best of their abilities. In regards to the issues with the rooms: all beds only have to pillows and a decorative one as show in the pictures, all the room have white walls with the main one with bright color, all rooms most have a blanked for bed. In the property we have a free parking that is not included in the service we provided because as you stated we don’t have enough parking room for all the rooms. The pictures on the site are six months old so they should be adequated. I deeply apologize for the hotel and will investigate what went wrong during your stay to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Good for Family of Five
We are a family of five with kids age 9 to 15. We were able to book a room with one queen and two full beds (their description says twin I think). With three kids, it was essential to have a room like this and the size of the room and the number of beds made this stay more comfortable. The hotel is two blocks from the main strip (5th Ave.) which was close enough but far enough to be quiet. Staff were friendly and helpul. The room had a/c and a fan which was nice but the cool air didn't seem to reach a section of the room in the "L" shape and our girls said it was too warm on their side while I was cold under the a/c. Other than a free floating table under the tv, the room is pretty spare. A desk and chair or a table with two chairs is really needed when you have this many people in one room. Aside from one towel rack in the shower, there was no place to hang bath and beach towels and bathing suits - this is a beach town! There is plenty of room for additional furniture. WiFi is available and worked ok but slow. Pool is small as they all are but great for kids to cool off in and it was right outside our room so could keep an eye on the youngest. No breakfast included. Parking is usually available. We're close to the Walmart! No refrigerator (but that seems pretty standard - it would be nice).

The hotel it self was good. It didnt have a fridge which was a bummer and there was a dog that kept us up all night that lived right behind the hotel, so we had to switch hotels.

Misleading Hotel
The pool is tiny, the beds uncomfortable and the staff is rude. Our sheets were never changed and the trash was not emptied despite them "cleaning" every day.

+great location and staff - no wifi bad beds
The location was much better than the 5th ave hotels I've been to because it takes you slightly away from the chaos of 5th ave and puts you closer to great restaurants, the city square, and a Walmart. The lack of wifi for my week trip has more or less cemented the three star review. While the router can connect the internet itself was unavailable. The restaurants around the hotel connect fine so this definitely seems like something they need to work out with their ISP. The beds are pretty stiff which would be OK if they didn't also have plastic bed covers making them a bit too uncomfortable.

The from desk staff were very helpful and kind.
This is a very nice clean safe hotel. Many of the guests appeared to be Mexicans, some North Americans and quite quiet. Small pool.

Clean, comfortable and close to town.
Hotel Nautilus was a great 1 night stay for us in Playa. the room was extremely clean and comfortable and just a few minutes walk to the main part of town and the beach. The pool area was a bit tight and not too inviting. Staff were helpful and let us leave our baggage until our room was ready.

Even though hotel look new was not good experience
The personal is not verry friendly, never say hi when coming in or out of the hotel. The best had only one bed sheet and the room is cold, nothing else for cover. The towel hanger was broke. The remote control never worked. The room door had something wrong that made a lot of noise, and ad midnight not plecen. You could hear the other room tv thru the cable hole..

The Other Bad Reviews are Correct
I'm not a complainer at all but I have no choice with this hotel. This will be my first bad review ever...... Nice clean rooms but unfortunately that's where it ends. NO HOT WATER AT ALL during my whole stay. The second day I even let the shower run for 45 mins and it was still ice cold. AC would literally run for 15 seconds then shut off for 2 mins.....then run for 15 seconds and shut off for 2 mins. When I complained to the staff they were very distant and not helpful. They acted like you were bothering them. Lost power in the room several times during the second day. Staff had to flip the breaker to get power back to my room every time. Bed was very hard too. Also, as others said right next to the square/park. Not the hotels fault but there happened to be a carnival at the time of my trips so there were concerts and parties in the streets all night. Very very loud!! The safe was very small and would not fit a ipad or tablet. Last complaint would be only a door knob lock on the door.....no chain lock or bolt lock. Someone could easily push the door open with their shoulder.......I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Rooms are all being refurbished. Small pool good for cooling off. Rooms clean and housekeeping efficient. WiFi was not working and was told by front desk that it wasn't their problem. I noticed the modem between our room and the next on the balcony and when WiFi went down I would reset and all was good. We were lucky to have the room we were in to reset WiFi. Good location close to dining,beach and shopping. Oxxo around the corner for morning coffee and fresh water provided by hotel. Booked early and had great rate. Well worth money. Will stay again.

Inexpensive hotel
We stayed with a family of 4 in the room that has 3 beds. It had no other furniture, just beds. The beds are hard, the room was clean. You can fill your water bottle from the 5 gallon jug in the lobby. One distasteful thing was that we wanted to go to Xplor which cost $119 per person at the park and the receptionist tried to sell me a package including transportation, telling me that tickets at the door were $139 per person (untrue).

Right next to the Municipal Park and Casino.
It is a short walk to the beach and main tourist area ( 2 streets ) and the area is very safe. The hotel is within walking distance for just about everything. The staff was very helpful and the rooms are very clean and very large. The only problem I had was there was no hot water one day. Other than that the hotel was well worth the money. It surpassed my expectations. The view I had from my balcony was incredible. I would stay here again.

Room for three
Hotel Nautilus is a fine hotel. The staff was nice and the hotel was nice. Location not close to the water but walking distance. The only complaint would be low water pressure and three flights of stairs to go up.
