Close to Pitt and CMU

Posted 25-Jul-2015
Pros: Location was perfect for us, Panera right in the lobby is great. Comfortable bed, nice shower.
Cons: Rooms were clean, but the hotel is very old and in need of a lot of a fair amount of repair. No ice machine on our floor was a little inconvenient.
Location: Good location for Pitt and CMU, close to main highways and downtown attractions.
This is an affordable hotel close to CMU. Great location to visit our student and great access to downtown Pittsburgh and South Side Flats.

Convenient location - PVGP event. We have stayed here numerous times in the past for this event and always enjoyed our stay. Staff is friendly and helpful - room clean - location great for getting around town.

Quiet reasonable

Posted 19-Jul-2015
I needed a hotel near CMU in Pittsburgh and the Quality Inn University Center meet my needs. I wouldn't exactly say it was in walking distance, but it was a very reasonable place to sleep. It is easy to drive to and from the hotel to CMU or the University of Pittsburgh, which I suggest =is= within walking distance. My room was quiet clean and serviceable although I unplugged the refrigerator due to a ticking noise the compressor was making.

Great hotel on the cities edge

Posted 14-Jul-2015
Being in town on vacation, i opted to stay here for budget and distance reasons. Despite some wear on the furniture in our room, the hotel was quite good, if a bit "Dated" in appearance, the staff was very friendly and fun to chat with, the beds were fine, the wifi was functional, and the floors were clean. While they don't serve breakfast, the hotel sits above a restaurant and there's plenty nearby Great place to stay if you just need a "Home base" to sleep at and shower, but i wouldn't reccommend it if you're going to be in the room all day, as you'd probably want more amenities than just a TV.

Wonderful staff

Cons: The shower curtain smelled a bit..
What I liked most about this hotel is the front desk staff. They were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make sure my stay was comfortable.

So convenient to the local hospitals

We return here frequently when we have medical appointments in the area. The Panera Bread in the hotel is a bonus!

Don't take a shower.

Posted 06-Jul-2015
The room was fine the location was good. The fire dept came bc someone took a shower with the door open and set off the alarm. They had a sign telling you not to do that but who reads all the signs? Also the parking situation is ridiculous.
