My daughter's college audition

Posted 03-Mar-2015
Pros: Location, cleanness and very pleasant, polite and helpful staff.
Cons: It was perfect to me.
Location: Very close to Carnegie Mellon, a Panera restaurant just there and a safe area.
We had good time at Quality Inn. It was clean, the location is safe and close to Carnegie Mellon University and that is what we needed. We were there for a Carnegie Mellon Musical Theater audition. The hotel is very close to Carnegie Mellon and we could walk. It was cold to walk and there was a free shuttle that took us there and it was great. Another great thing is that there is a Panera restaurant right there. With that cold weather, we just took the elevator and there we were. Good food, breakfast, etc... We had a very positive experience over there. Nothing fancy, but for us, it was perfect.

University Student Interview Trip

Posted 23-Feb-2015
Very warm, spacious, clean, & comfortable room. Was there with the weather being -2 degrees and having access to Panera Bread from the hotel was an added plus, as well as, having the hotel provide complimentary transportation to the local universities and areas downtown. So no rental car was needed.

Pros: proximity to University of Pitt
Comfortable and reasonably priced. We were visiting the University of Pitt and stayed here overnight. Very convenient, clean and the Panera Bread on the first floor was great too.

Nice place

Posted 19-Feb-2015
Pros: The staff was the best!
Cons: The appearance of the room walls and cracking in the tubs
Location: Nothing near by but a school, hospital, places to shop and eat
The staff helped my mom to the room because they seen she was having trouble walking. I truly appreciate the extent they went to in making her comfortable while we were there. I did not have to request anything they made sure we had all we needed

Older hotel about 2 miles from downtown

Posted 09-Feb-2015
This hotel was chosen for a sold out concert at Consol. It's older & not in a great part of town but it was all that was left. The rooms are noisy & the beds uncomfortable (& small- double beds are double beds...) but the staff was very nice. Housekeeping did knock on our door pretty early, even though we had a do not disturb sign up. Overall, this hotel got the job done.

An inexpensive place to sleep, and shower.

Posted 01-Feb-2015
Pros: It was in the city. Close to my Am meeting
Cons: The hotel just needs "finished". It's kind of plain Jane. kind of boring Perhaps they could offer a shuttle to some of the entertainment nearby
It was inexpensive, and it looked like it. The hotel is kind of beat up. Needs spruced up a little bit. It was clean and reasonably comfortable however.

OK Hotel at a good price

Posted 19-Jan-2015
Pros: Price
I was in town for school and could not afford the prices of the hotels down town. This hotel was better priced and was average. It was clean and a place to sleep. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who does not expect to spend a lot of time in the hotel and just needs a place to shower and sleep.

Did not have what was advertised

Posted 13-Jan-2015
Pros: Having the Panera restaurant right there for breakfast.
Cons: New carpeting, regular size pillows, adjustable shower heads, heaters that run on auto so when the room heats up it shuts down.
Location: Location is good. Quick access to the University of Pitt and major highways.
The card in the bathroom said they had adjustable shower heads...it didn't. The shower spray was more of a mist than an actual shower. The card also said they had curved shower rods for more room...it didn't. Many pieces of furniture were moved out away from the walls and at odd angles. The heat in the room was too hot and wouldn't adjust to auto...so it would run all night. We had to turn it off to listen to the TV because the heating unit was too loud. The carpet is very worn and looked dirty in some places. The pillows were more like covered throw pillows and not the size of a regular pillow (uncomfortable and flat).
