Too expensive for what you get.

The staff was very nice. The lobby was nice and new but somewhat hidden. The room was old and the bathroom definitely needed renovation. We could easily here the people next door talking which was annoying.

I got actually smoking room although I did not ask for it. All amenities are old but rooms are clean if you can survive the old cigarette smell.

close to Universities

Posted 04-Apr-2015
Pros: good value for being in the city and so close to all the universities.
Cons: nothing
Location: About 5 minutes to the University of Pittsburgh. There were mostly industrial businesses, some retail and few restaurants near by.
We have traveled quite a bit lately and this hotel has the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. I felt like I was arriving at a friends house by the way they said hello and offered me some Easter candy. Our room was comfortable and clean and even had magazines about Pittsburgh that had maps and info about what to do and where to eat. The room had a balcony which we could look out over the river. When we checked out there were different staff on and they too were very friendly and helpful.

Good place to lay your head after a busy day

Posted 04-Apr-2015
Pros: Free shuttle service
Location: Museums, park, city, hospital, botanical gardens...
Spend the days visiting friends, sights and was worn out by day's end. I didn't use the facitilities except to sleep there. The shuttle bus driver was helpful out the area and made sure I got to where I needed to go!

My daughter's college audition

Posted 03-Mar-2015
Pros: Location, cleanness and very pleasant, polite and helpful staff.
Cons: It was perfect to me.
Location: Very close to Carnegie Mellon, a Panera restaurant just there and a safe area.
We had good time at Quality Inn. It was clean, the location is safe and close to Carnegie Mellon University and that is what we needed. We were there for a Carnegie Mellon Musical Theater audition. The hotel is very close to Carnegie Mellon and we could walk. It was cold to walk and there was a free shuttle that took us there and it was great. Another great thing is that there is a Panera restaurant right there. With that cold weather, we just took the elevator and there we were. Good food, breakfast, etc... We had a very positive experience over there. Nothing fancy, but for us, it was perfect.

University Student Interview Trip

Posted 23-Feb-2015
Very warm, spacious, clean, & comfortable room. Was there with the weather being -2 degrees and having access to Panera Bread from the hotel was an added plus, as well as, having the hotel provide complimentary transportation to the local universities and areas downtown. So no rental car was needed.
