Comfortable oldervhotel with welcoming staff

Posted 28-Jul-2014
Firstly, my pre-stay requests for early check in and room location of were acknowledged and upon check in, fulfilled! What a pleasant surprise. Secondly, the room was relatively roomy, compared to others that I've seen in Pari; and thirdly, the staff were consistently friendly and accommodating. Overall, a truly enjoyable and relaxed two weeks in this lovely, convenient hotel!

This hotel's surrounding with many dirty streets, Red light district, Pick pocket did happen to me, lucky for me, I caught him on time... Unsafe to come home late... I would not recommend to anyone...thank God We were there only one night...

Taste of French

Posted 09-Jul-2014
Cons: The breakfast is very good, with a price to match it, ~$40 per mouth.
This hotel is not grand but quite elegant, touch of luxury. Clean and comfortable.

Good location, modern room

Posted 04-Jul-2014
Hotel is brand new and modern, room size good, bathroom large modern and clean. No AC and front rooms get afternoon sun and get hot on hot days. Windows open wide and it cools off at night. We were hot on afternoon but ok while sleeping. But to have windows open you need curtains open so it gets bright in room very early. Wifi only works in lobby and lobby is full of folks with their phones and no where to sit. And hot on lobby. Location is just down street from train station, and a very nice large park is across street, old town short walk. Nice town to visit. Very real and few tourists.

Overall great deal

Pros: See above.
Cons: The room got very hot. The air conditioning should be fixed!
Location: See above.
The hotel was located in a safe neighborhood near the Metro, with ATM and many restaurants within walking distance. (There was even a late night grocery store right across the street.) The room was big (by Paris standards) for the price, and equipped with a refrigerator, safe, and plenty of closet and drawer space. The free WiFi was very helpful, and worked well. The bathroom was nice, and the water pressure was good. The room had a nice big window that opened, and a little terrace. This was good since the air conditioning did not work.

A Real Taste of Paris In a Typical French Hotel!

Posted 07-Jun-2014
Pros: The hotel is in fairly good condition. Very clean. Gorgeous lift and foyer. Location great. Staff were always extremely helpful and courteous.
Cons: Noisy at night. Walls are thin.
Location: Go to Rue De Petit Carreaux. A true gem of a street. Catch up with the TRUE Local Parissiennes. Metro is close. Nice bistros. Try Bistrot Renaissance.
Tucked away in a side street away from the maddening traffic was this little gem. At first it appeared that we were far away from the action around the Louvre, but with time, we worked out we were soooo much better off! Classic traditional decor, very helpful staff, and the location was the winner for us. We followed trip advisor and asked for a room away from the street to avoid the street noise. The hotel is in a small street, with typical local businesses. Nothing touristic or annoying. We discovered a gorgeous street called: Rue Petit Carreaux (sp?) that was not far away. That is where we spent alot of spare time. Beautiful blend of Paris cafes, bars, boulongeries, wine merchants, fromageries etc... And full of local Parissiennes, shopping, drinking, walking their dogs.etc...A much better experience than in Rue De Rivolli with the thousands of tourists, traffic and so on. The hotel was well maintained, clean, sometimes worn, but this made it feel even more genuine. Carpets, light fittings, bathroom, all clean. A Pretty, elegant, timeless hotel!
