“Hotel worked out fine”
Hotel location was good for my needs. Cleanliness was great and room area was fine for a Japan hotel. Bathroom fixtures showed signs of age but still worked fine. Restaurants in the hotel were way over priced, even for a continental breakfast, and not any alternative restaurant choices near the hotel. Convenient train stop right at the hotel. Typical for other hotels in Japan, no easy way to control the room temperature. In my case the room was too warm, but since it was December, the AC was not operating. Would stay there again no problem.
“My Japan experience”
A wonderful hotel, a level of service you can really only expect from the Japanese. The resturants have a great outlook. The shuttle bus service they offer is superb. I'll be back for sure
“Wonderful hotel.”
A great 5-day stay. Everything was elegent from the rooms, restaurants, and hotel staff. Free bus shuttle to the train station and free bottled water in the fridge, what a deal. One block from the Cirque du Soleil and two blocks to local shop and restaurants.
“Best Hotel Ever!”
This hotel was hands down the best hotel I've ever visited. The staff are too friendly and speak great English. And also help a great deal in planning any tourist spots you wish to go to in a matter of minutes. Bedroom, view from bedroom, bathroom are superb condition. Free paper in the morning :) Surrounding environment is wonderful and peaceful. Japan as a whole is a friendly society but this is a dream hotel and spot to be in. Many traditional restaurants close by. McDonalds or Italian restaurants if your western too. Sea World, Universal studio, osaka castle, sky walk are all very close by. Aswell as Fukushima Station i think? The hotel skylounge is amazing and if you use the hotel FREE BUS EVERY 10mins ALL DAY, you can visit the open Sky Lounge if it's more your liking. This hotel is rated as one of the worlds best in 2010. People couldn't believe we were staying in it when we told them because of how amazing it is. But I didn't believe them untill i saw the lobby and witnessed how much stuff, restaurants, shops, shopping malls are in just one single hotel. Mind blowing. A must stay. Thank you RIHGA Royal Hotel!
“Really great service, nice hotel”
Bit further from the City Centre, but there is a regular shuttle to and from Osaka station. The restaurants and services were expensive, and the internet was not free - you had to pay for 24 hrs use (bit annoying when you just needed to check emails for 10 min). But overall, really great service, everyone was so helpful and friendly, and the shuttle was an excellent help.
“Will stay again!”
We generally stay at the Hilton or Westin, however we decided to stay at the Rhiga Royal as the other hotels were at capacity, and we`re so glad we chose Rhiga. The staff are so well trained, compared to the Osaka / Tokyo Hilton, and helpful that we felt like royalty. This is a wonderful hotel and will only stay here from now on. The only issue we had are with the beds as these really need to be upgraded fast.
“Near a Convention Center”
The Righa Royal Hotel in Osaka is located next to a convention center, but there is not much else in the area. There is an expensive shopping arcade in the basement of the hotel, but otherwise you will have to take a taxi to do anything. The hotel itself is attractive and comfortable, and staff are helpful. One curious aspect of Japan is that public wifi is rarely available in hotels, restaurants or coffee shops. Guests at the Righa access the internet in their rooms using DSL. The additional charge is substantial. You will have trouble accessing the internet using a smart phone.
“Best hotel I've been to.”
Service was the best. The hotel was so grand I nearly got lost. The hotel is not located downtown, but the shuttle bus that goes between the hotel and the Osaka train station was great. It was always on time and the service was very good. We had 3 people, but we got a room with 4 beds. The room was very spacious. Unfortunately, we only stayed for 2 nights in Osaka. Very much worth it's price.
“One of the best hotel experiences I ever had...”
Very good quality and stay.
“a little dissapointed of five star hotel”
The look of hotel was great as expected and the hotel has own free bus services from only Osaka station (wasn't mentioned this until my friend adviced me). The room was comfortable but the bathroom floor was dirty as able to see previous guest's foot pritns and there is no complementary coffee that hotel staff insisted to order coffee for room service. (even little business hotel in Japan offers complementary coffee not only teas) Feel dissapointed.
