"Lovely little cottage. Had everything one needed, especially in the kitchen. Appliances easy to operate. Very comprehensive folder about the cottage and area. Appreciated the many suggestions. Nice courtyard garden, to enjoy the many goodies in the welcome back. Older, or people with mobility issues might find the three steps up to front door tricky. However, there are handrails."

Please note that the location of the accommodation is within a residential estate and is a terraced block. We were able to hear noise and conversations from neighbouring properties and so felt very conscious of our own noise levels when in the apartment. "Great communication before arrival. Upon arriving I was met by a lady who showed me to the apartment. I was very happy with the apartment. Everything I needed for a few days. Parking was no problem as the apartments have their own car park. It us a short drive from shops but you don't have to go miles. Would certainly book again if I'm in the area."

"The booking stated we would receive soap and shampoo. The owner stated that they would not provide shampoo - which I'd not packed. I also had to contact the owner on the evening of our arrival to complain that there was no soap. This was dropped through the letterbox the following morning. The property was not clean. There were dead insects on the window sills of the front room. The kitchen and bathroom were full of spiders which we had to clean up. Basically, we're disappointed not just by...

"On first appearance the property was lovely, however, the cooker was not very clean and there was quite a few trip hazards where the carpets joined in the doorways also a large mat curled up at the corners. I removed it for our safety.. the tv did not have a terrestrial service and the wifi was poor the beds were not large enough for an adult male and the duvets were too short."

However, you will notice there are not really any external photos of the property. The house is in a very narrow street, packed with terraced houses, mostly in a poor condition. "This property was fantastic, excellent location overlooking the sea. Perfect for 4 couples as each bedroom has its own en-suite/bathroom. Welcome basket of bread, jam, tea, coffee, butter and milk was nice touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you"

"Very nice property, was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. John's communication was excellent. Just could of done with a small bin in each bedroom and there was only 1 dishwasher tablet but these are only minor things but holiday and house was very adequate for our stay at Newbiggin on the sea.
