We were treated like 2nd class guests! Reserved a Standard room on Expedia.com and got a rooftop room (#704) that had half a ceiling and looked nothing like advertised on Expedia.com. The first day we asked for more bottled water and coffee for our room (Free-according to advertisement) and were told we only have 1 free bottled water and coffee (4 pods) daily included in our room price. We were directed by a wave of a hand to the vending machine in the lobby if we wanted more. The following morning we went to the bar area and asked if the breakfast was included with our room (we knew it wasn't by the advertisement but asked anyway so we could at least pay the 21 Euro (as advertised) but we were not asked if we wanted to stay and pay for breakfast, instead we were told, "I am sorry your room doesn't include breakfast. We were offered a coupon by Expedia for our troubles but, was told it's for King's Hotels (Europe only) only, which is useless to us because we live in the USA. I will try to contact King's Hotel First directly, but it's not easy (there's a 9 hr. difference in time zone).

Good hotel for the price and location. Friendly front desk. Basic in regards to services and amenities but clean and worked great for our purpose of just needing a home base to sleep that's secure and clean.

An outstanding hotel made special by the staff. We arrived at 11am following an early flight hoping to leave our luggage to return later in the day to officially check in. Imagine our surprise when we (2 couples) were checked in and given our room keys. The rooms (103 & 104) were spacious, spotlessly clean and had some wonderful little extras; Haribo sweets on the bed and a bottle of water in the fridge. The safe in the room was free to use and there was plenty of wardrobe space, maybe consider putting in a set of drawers. We loved the concept of not having the room made up each day to support the environment (not washing bedding and towels every day) in return for receiving a 10 euro voucher per day to be redeemed on snacks or at the inhouse bar. The bar offers snacks which includes pizzas which we tried. These were of a high standard and rather large, one could have fed two people. The location was excellent for the train station as it was 5 minutes walk away and the hotel was really easy to find. We left our luggage in lockable cabinets on our last day until 5.30pm with no extra charge which was handy having a late flight home. We would highly recommend this hotel especially with the price per night, this is definitely an absolute gem. Thank you for a fabulous stay!

Took my breakfast plate without asking if were done. Apparently hotel guests have a time limit when eating breakfast. They never apologized to me for there rude behavior. Did nothing when pointing out.

The hotel was conveniently located near the main station and was a short walk to the Marientplatz and other historical landmarks. The hotel was clean and staff was very helpful. The area outside the hotel was a bit loud with party-goers at night.

Overall, I had a great experience with the King’s hotel first class, the staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were clean, very comfortable) I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Munich.

I was rebooked at Advastay instead which was great. It was fully contact-less so check in was through a machine. Not much interactions with staff. Be clean room. Fairly big rooms! There was a kitchen cabinet in my room which was a great addition

The hotel is right next to a tram rail so you can definitely hear it but it's not too bad. The room was nice and clean, food is walkable, about 10 to 15 minutes away. Overall a great property.

Hotel facilities and services all good. Seemed very warm everywhere. Aircon in bedroom had to be switched off and window opened to make it bearable to sleep at night even in December (obviously well insulated). Toilet position very odd in that had to sit on it an angle as no room to put legs either side. Would stay again so these weren't major issues. Need a new Christmas songs CD the one on loop was painful to listen to

In all my visits to Munich, this is the only hotel I have stayed at twice. The staff is very friendly and they have a very nice breakfast buffet to start your day. While most hotels claim to have “soundproof” rooms, they really mean it. Very seldom did I hear any street noise. It’s conveniently located close to the main train station in a relatively safe area. I’m fairly certain I will be staying there again!

The hotel was great with friendly staff. The breakfast Buffett is a great option for morning meals and the hotel is close to local transportation. I would call hotel prior to check in to confirm you aren’t on the street though because it can be very loud from construction or with people walking early in the morning or late at night.

We booked the first class king’s hotel and they moved us to the central king’s hotel without explaining or apologising, due to them overbooking. As we had been travelling for many hours and arrived at 11pm we didn’t have options to challenge this but found out later we had paid for a 4 star hotel but been landed in a 3 star with no commentary, refund or apology. Extremely disappointed

Hotel very clean, quick check in, breakfast was ok. Decor very nice, nice and warm too. Beer keg in room puts out foam rather than beer and not very cold. Giant pretzels in room were nice touch. Pillows very uncomfortable, head falls through them. Lot of noise from road outside on weeknights/mornings but you do expect this in a city. Mix up with breakfast whether it’s included or not on 2 occasions but was sorted quickly by reception. Not far from Christmas markets. Barman makes an excellent cocktail. Good hotel .
