“Nice location, nice price”

Excellent 'motel style' hotel offering a great location within Carmel and parking for the night. Rooms are good sized and comfortably furnished. Complementary breakfast was very nice and all staff were friendly and helpful.

“Carmel Village Inn”

The Village Inn is ideally placed for walking around Carmel and the accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately while we were there the whole town was hit by a cyclone and the power lines were down, so we can't recommend any places to eat within Carmel, which means we will have to go back again! And would certainly stay at the Village Inn again.

“Nice pleasant hotel”

Clean room, limited free parking, 15min walk to beautiful beach, free breakfast. Very reasonably priced hotel for what is otherwise a very expensive area.

“Service not up to standard of other hotels but not bad”

We were travelling from San Diego up the pacific coast to San Francisco and all the hotels we stayed at were excellent. However at Carmel Village Inn the lady on reception just seemed to be a bit of a busybody and the service was not what we had been used to on the rest of our journey. First she stared at me whilst parking and commented on how bad it was, she then commented on my cute but dirty purse, then we were told breakfast was served until 10am but were treated with some contempt when we arrived at 9.30 and requested some bagels be toasted and milk for our tea. Despite this the room and hotel were as a whole were fine.
