“Wonderful”
It was a most enjoyable time - I most certainly would recommend Carmel Village Inn. The staff and front office were very helpful and gave lots of tips about the area. The room was quaint and cozy. The Inn was within walking distance to restaurants, and little boutique shops. I will be making reservations again.

“Wonderful place to stay in Carmel!”
The location of this hotel is excellent. The staff is very friendly, professional and helpful. Rooms are nicely furnished and clean. The only drawback is the parking. There are not enough spaces for the rooms, but there is street parking with good access... and we knew about that before we arrived. We hope to stay there again next year.
“unexpected results”
hotel is showing it's age but they are working on it. in the bathroom, glass glasses, ceramic coffee mugs. at breakfast, two egg options, ceramic dishes, glass glasses, silverware to eat with. this is a concept that is no longer seen in the chain hotels.. would highly recommend this property not only for the above but also convience to things in Carmel.
“Best Value for Location”
Staff was friendly and bed very comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised with the value of this great find. Excellent sport to be for exploring Carmel and accessible to Pebble Beach - we'd definitely stay again!
“The cleanest room ever!”
This is a great little place to stay if you are in Carmel for fun or business. The staff is very friendly and helpful - they even have menus to local restaurants in the lobby to help you decide where to eat! The rooms were spotlessly cleaned every day of our stay, and I mean clean!! It is only about 6 blocks or so from the beach, and there is a great little market right behind it. Trust me, it is a cute, clean, comfortable place to lay your head.
“Fantastic Location”
OK, the Hotel is basic but it has all you need, it's clean, you get free breakfast and the staff are nice. The best part though is the location. All the little antique shops and restaurants are just a small block or so way. The Beach is not too far either. I would stay there again, but I would bring my own pillow, which is the only thing that was not great.
“Wish we had stayed longer”
The Carmel village inn, was a great find, centrally located off the main road easy to get to. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, room and bathroom both very spacious. Right across the street from town and shopping. Free continental breakfast with a nice variety of items. The only draw back for us was the quiet time of 930pm to 930am, since we are night people got back to hotel after 1030pm, worried about trying to be quiet as to not disturb other guests, also limited parking spaces for hotel, but that was not really a problem, since there was alot of street parking, but be careful to watch the time, or you can be towed. All in all we had a pleasant experience at the Village inn, would highly recommend this hotel to others.
“Can't wait to go back”
Good place to stay. The place looks better than the pictures on their web site. The beach, restaurants, and shops are all within walking distance. If you have a choice, do not pick a room right by the stairs. It can be quite noisy.
“What a Find!”
The Carmel Village Inn is very affordable and very quaint. I was surprised to get a room there for just one night (a Satuday) as most of the inns and B & B's in Carmel have a 2-night minimum stay. While it's more like a little motor inn, they are known as the little inn with the flowers... it's great to be walking distance from galleries, restaurants, shopping and about 7 blocks to the beach. Parking is first-come, first-served. I arrived at about 11:30am and there was plenty of parking so it worked out great to leave the car in one spot and walk everywhere. Unless you are looking for a place that's totally lavish and decadant, the Carmel Village Inn is perfect. Clean, comfortable and the inn-keepers are friendly, too.
