Nice hotel, in great village

Posted 27-Sep-2014
Pros: Location, village
Cons: Breakfast, fittings in the room, gym equipment
Location: The benahavis Safari was brilliant, rock pools nice and restaraunts in village great
Just got back from staying at the hotel for 1 week, have to bear in mind the reasonable price. The hotel is very nice in a great village, there is not many better options in the village I could see. The room overlooked the courtyard, and was typically Spanish, the showers and fitting were a little tired, the towels were a little off colour and cheap. The breakfast was average at best. The other interesting fact in my friends room, there was a sign stating if you put your own stuff in the mini bar fridge, they would charge you €5 a day, outrageous never heard of that before. The gym was rubbish, too hot for cardio, with crap equipment. On a positive note I am being picky but honest, a really great location with great pools and landscaping.

September Break

Posted 21-Sep-2014
Pros: Beautiful hotel completely in keeping with surrounding area. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the grounds and pool area are immaculate.
Cons: Perhaps a delivery of National Papers
Location: We were collected and taken by car to San Pedro and Marbella during the day, and to the village to Chicos and a flamenco show during the evenings
This is our third stay at the hotel, using it to visit family who live in Benahavis.

Pure Paradise

Posted 23-Aug-2014
Pros: The relaxed and informal atmosphere. The fact that no one was in your face, no one was too pushy nor too snobby. It's a really authentic hotel with am
Cons: If I had two improvements they would be better wi fi and different bacon. Other than that I would say that the hotel in its entirety is perfection per
Location: Located in the lower basin of benahavis. Possibly the prettiest town imaginable. We were fortunate enough to enjoy a four day fiesta which was taking
We booked the hotel as a direct result of other peoples positive reviews. We arrived to find the most beautiful hotel set in amazing grounds with picturesque views of benahavis. The welcome was warm and friendly. We unpacked and headed for the pool ( a choice of two). The pool bar staff were so friendly and welcoming. The sun beds were really comfortable with thick cushions which was a delightful start. The pool area was never too crowded and we were always able to get a bed. The food at the hotel was awesome and very reasonably priced. The rooms were massive for standard rooms. I've stayed in some of the most exclusive hotels in the world and very few were this size , in fact probably none unless I had booked a suite. The room was well equipped. The spa was lovely with a steam room, sauna , 3 jacuzzis , a plunge pool with jets and two showers (hot and cold). Being a family run hotel made all the difference as we were privelaged enough to meet various members of the family who I have to say were humble, polite and passionate about making sure we were happy. I can't speak highly enough about the hotel and everything about it was simply perfect.

Beautiful hotel

Posted 28-Jul-2014
Pros: Everything!
Cons: The only thing I can think of, and it's pretty trivial really, would be to have more uk TV channels!
Location: Near to Marbella but fortunately not in it. It's actually in a village just outside and up in the hills which makes it quiet, and a lovely climate
Lovely hotel, tasteful moorish design, great facilities, large rooms, delightful pools and delicious food in the restaurant.

Great hotel, great staff, food in hotel entirely caters to UK/US palate. Go into town center for excellent and cheap fish/meat.

Excellent value for money

Posted 14-Jul-2014
Pros: Spa, pools, cleanliness, staff
Cons: Breakfast was quite basic and would have benefitted from some more fresh fruit
Considering the price, we weren't expecting anything near the high standards and excellent service we received. Staff were accommodating, rooms were basic but comfortable and the pools & communal areas were well kept. Being able to use the spa with our booking was a really nice touch too. The hotel was quite quiet and so I would recommend for families and couples looking for a relaxing getaway.

Fabulous hotel in beautiful 'white village'

Posted 10-Jul-2014
Pros: The spacious bedroom and ensuite, the ambiance, great staff, the pools and all the facilities including the spa. Definitely the value for money.
Cons: There were only two English speaking channels on the TV in the bedroom, so more choice would be better.
Location: Pretty, typically Spanish 'white village' with many restaurants, bars and leisure activities. Marbella is not far - best to hire a car for holiday.
On arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by a friendly, helpful receptionist who made checking in very easy. Our room (standard) was larger than expected with lots of storage, a large double bed, armchairs, table and TV. The window and patio door looked over a pretty courtyard with many flowering plants. The air conditioning worked well and we slept comfortably at night. There was no need to draw curtains at night as there are electric roller shutters. The large ensuite had a bath/shower, bidet, hand basin and WC, which was very clean, as was the bedroom itself. The décor was very tasteful. Helpful things like hairdryer, iron and ironing board were also included, as were numerous hangars in the wardrobes. The staff were all very friendly and helpful; from reception to chambermaids, restaurant and bar staff. We booked on a B&B basis and enjoyed a variety of different foods for breakfast, plus there was a good range of fruit juices and hot drinks too. It was lovely starting the day eating in the courtyard, as the weather was wonderful the whole time we stayed. Poolside there are many sun loungers with comfy cushions with the benefit of a bar, which served a whole range of drinks and meals. Overall, we had a brilliant time at this hotel and would definitely return at some point in future. We booked flights and the hotel through Expedia as a deal and it was definitely good value for money.
