Airport convenience

Pros: The "free" red bus to and from Heathrow made it easy to get the tube into London. The hotel was comfortable, staff were friendly and very helpful.
Location: The location was close to Heathrow and we were able to walk to a great pub ("The Three Magpies") for breakfast one day and dinner another.
We were arriving from Canada, in transition to a cruise from Harwich. We wanted to be close to London without the hassle of trains, tubes and taxis with all our luggage. It was also easy to arrange a bus pick-up from the hotel to our ship on the day of sailing.

Room I was in needs a complete make over.

Thought I had booked a room that had been refurbished!!! Bathroom needed overhall bath a mess toilet constantly running. Bed most uncomfortable with a rubber sheet , am I in an old peoples home? Thank goodness I was only there for 1 night !

Wrong room number

Location: no idea what is nearby since it took so long to check in.
Stayed here for a stop over, but was not convenient at all. The staff are very , very slow at checking guests in. Everyone in line was very annoyed at how long it took. The first room we got was extremely old with black hold all around the tub and a hair dryer that looked like it belonged in a museum. I tried calling the front desk several times but no answer, so I went in person stood inline for another 15 mins. I was told there was nothing else available, but the manager found another room. After receiving the new card key and room number I went in search of room 3320. I looked for a long time, longer than I should have probably. I tried calling the desk again from the house phone near the elevators, again no answer. Finally after several tries I got through and was informed that room 3320 does not exist !!! the clerk from the front wrote the wrong number. After over an hour of running around this hotel I finally got settled into 3220, which was also an ancient room but too tired to try again. By this time it was 10pm and restaurant was closing so went to lounge for some dinner. Waited almost another hour for food only to get the wrong order! finally in bed by midnight for my early morning flight back to Canada. Awful experience.

Cost of stay

Pros: Very convenient for the airport.
Cons: Provide better value for money where incidentals are concerned.
Location: Nothing to do nearby other than rush to the airport.
the room rate was good but I felt I was being over charged for everything else. I hate being charged for use of the Internet and certainly over $20 per day is way too much. $13 for a glass of wine is also overdoing it. At the end of my stay my bill for incidentals was way over the top. I won't go there again.

Close to Heathrow.

Pros: Proximity to Heathrow.
Cons: Removal of mold odor. I was told that the "older", unrenovated rooms were all like that.
Upon registering, we were given a room that smelled very badly of mold. The man who took our bags to the room was very instrumental in getting the room changed to a more satisfactory one. The restaurant closed at 10:00. It didn't effect us, but, I think that's too early for an airport location. Last, there was a charge for the Wifi...first time I experienced that in the UK. I chose this place instead of a suggestion from a friend. I should have listened.

Pros: Free transportation from the Central Bus Terminal at the airport, the location and the hotel has a great staff and rooms.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
Location: The 45 minutes on the tube from central London is worth the travel especially when you do not have to make the trip on flight day.
This is a return visit to this hotel which has the ideal location to check in and then head back into London for site seeing. With a travel pass on the tube you are ideally positioned for a departure the next day at Heathrow. Being a plane spotter there is never a dull moment.

Our hotel currently is undergoing a complete refurbishment, including installation of new air-conditioning and WIFI services. Good airport hotel.

Pros: Excellent staff.
Cons: The furnishings are a bit worn out, but not unpleasant.
The only reason to stay here is to be close to the airport, but the staff do not take advantage of that. The rooms are comfortable, the restaurant and bar pleasant and not too overpriced, and the staff extremely helpful. There is parking, and buses and taxis to the terminals. WiFi works well. We would come here again.

It was only a stopover before flying out. Everything was convenient. The staff helpful and the room very comfortable. It's nice to find a hotel that provides a smoking option. No free wifi is a negative.
