Nice hotel with clean rooms and quiet ambience.

Posted 14-Dec-2014
Pros: Lounges,rooms,bar.
Cons: Concierge assistants forgot to tell me my bus to the airport was there so I missed one, and nearly the next.
Location: Good for Terminal 5.
I had to spend hours there killing time until it was time to go to the airport for a night flight. Lovely lounges and bar/restaurant.

Under construction and put our room next to it.

Posted 11-Dec-2014
We Flew in from Seattle and needed rest, they started banging hammers at 9am (london time).they put next to the construction. .. we could not sleep and they would not stop. The building is run down.(perhaps why they are doing construction)

Convenient overnight stay for Heathrow

Posted 28-Nov-2014
Pros: Service from the staff from the time of arriving and the evening buffet was very good.
Cons: Noisy bar which could help by enclosing a bit. We went to our room after our evening meal instead of having a drink as the noise was very loud.
Location: We didn't go out as this was just an overnight stop before a flight
It was on the Hoppa bus route which was the reason for picking this Hotel and having tried a couple of others before this was by far the best.

Convenient near terminals 1,2 and 3

Posted 27-Nov-2014
Love being that close to terminals. City buses will take you from and to central bus stop at the airport at no charge! Room was large and clean. Outdated furniture and fixtures but comfy bed, linens and towels, just what you need for a short stay near airport and what you'd expect for the attractive price.

In need of renovation

Posted 20-Nov-2014
We stayed only one night and were dismayed to learn the hotel shuttle was 4.5£ per person one way. You had to take a bus back to the airport to catch the train as well. We returned to our room late and it was quite warm which was great due to the cold, but it never cooled off and we were unable to sleep because the room was so warm and the thermostat wouldn't work. Since it was 3am though, we didn't call for maintenance since we didn't want to have to change rooms or deal with a repairman in the middle of the night. The front desk was gracious the next morning and could discount our stay since we prepaid through expedia, but they did offer 2 comp breakfasts which was great. There was duct tape holding the carpet together in the elevator hallways and corridors.

Dear Jill, Thank you for your feedback. First of all please let me explain about the £4.50 Hoppa Bus charge. This service is run by a local bus company which serves the local area, however, there are alternative means of transport such as complimentary local buses. Our concierge team are always available 24 hours a day to explain all your travel needs. We are sorry to hear about any inconvenience, however, I am glad the reception team managed to turn the experience around for you. As you gradually complete our major refurbishment, these issues will be a thing of the past. We look forward to being able to share our new rooms with each and every one of our guests in the very near future! Kind regards

Good Hotel for closeness to Heathrow airport.

Posted 16-Nov-2014
Pros: The lobby, bar and restaurant area have been renovated and look good.
Cons: Get rid of the standard rooms as soon as a possible.
Location: N/A
We booked a standard room as we were only staying for the one night before an early flight. The room was poor but to be fair they are renovating the hotel and the lobby and restaurant area is a vast improvement. You have to pay extra for an updated room and hopefully they are a great improvement on the old ones. For a few hours a standard room is ok. Renovation should have commenced years ago.You have to pay for the Internet which should in this day and age be free throughout. Other hotels that are less expensive do it so why not the Rennaissance.

Nice hotel close to airport.

Posted 16-Nov-2014
Pros: Location was perfect
Location: Airport is close and the free bus meant I could get to airport and then the train from there to London Town and local shops in Hounslow and Uxbridge.
Fabulous, the staff are very helpful, particularly the concierge. Free bus to and from international airport is just two minute walk from the hotel. I found it perfect for a few nights stay.
