“Food surprisingly good”

Smart clean room but could not open windows. Really good dinner. Plenty of space in and around lobby area to avoid silly Wi-Fi costs in room I'll look out for more cheap deals at this hotel next time I am at Heathrow

“Really just a place to sleep”

Nothing really wrong with this hotel... just nothing special about it either. Ok if you are just on a quick stopover... but when you have flown in on a long haul flight it would be nice if you could check in quickly (say less than 15 min) and have someone take your bags to the room. This hotel is really only a practical choice... more about the journey than the destination. NB: When catching cabs at Heathrow, if you don't have cash make sure the cab takes credit card before you get in... apparently London hasn't caught up with the rest of the financial world (or so they will claim).. and they're perfectly happy to be extremely rude about it.

Area recommendations

Not familiar enough with London to recommend one area. Would however recommend other hotels closer to the airport if that area is preferred. I actually stayed in Oxford for the time I was in England.

Overall the flight was ok and so was the hotel selection of Ramada, close to the Airport.

“Watch the taxi fares”

Overall very pleasant hotel. Only there for one night and arrived rather late so i did not see all facilities. What I did use was very good.

Traveller's tip

Don't arrive at the airport late or you will get stung with a very heavy taxi fare. The Hoppa bus is fairly inexpensive but the one serving the hotel finishes around 10.30. The taxi fare is at least 15 GBP and I can't see why it costs so much for such a short journey. Taxis don't like short journeys and can charge a higher tariff. You have been warned.

“Very expensive buffet breakfast”

I was disconcerted to find that the only thing available for breakfast was the expensive buffet with "unreal" scrambled eggs. The other food was very good, however i just wanted coffee & toast which was not available. The waitresses had a bit of attitude! I was surprised because the other staff were charming.

“I will always stay there when I am passing through London.”

Wonderful experience. Friendly staff, very clean hotel, very modern bathroom, clean comfortable bedroom. Worth every penny I paid for it.
