Our only problem was thinking the key for the door was at the front when it was round the back but once we were in we were all hugely impressed. Many thanks for an enjoyable stay. "Had a pleasant 3-night stay, would’ve given it 5 stars had it not been for the uncomfortable double bed. The mattresses are worn and too soft - it appears they are 2 singles put together to make a double. I did contact the number provided to complain and was offered a visit to come and see how it could be resolved. I declined because 1) had a busy day and didn’t have time to wait, not how I want to spend my holiday 2) other than a new mattress, I didn’t see the point. Other than this issue, I...

"The place is absolutely stunning and we loved the secret door in particular. The fact there was some basic provisions when we arrived was super. The size of the apartment was much bigger than expected, and the decor, although a bit dated was in keeping with the property. The local village was quaint and we enjoyed a meal and drinks at the local pub one night."

"Lovely accommodation right in the heart of Kendal. Everything well thought out, and clean and cosy. May not want to visit with young children as some of the pictures on the wall were more adult orientated with no option to remove them for duration of stay."
