"We loved everything about New Brackashie cottage. The linens were crisp, the floors in the bathrooms heated, the rain shower downstairs, the comfort of the furniture. The cottage was decorated very tastefully and the view was spectacular. Quiet and serene and so so beautiful. We wished we had longer to stay as we did a tour of Loch Ness out of Inverness and a tour of the Jacobite Steam Train out of Fort William. Wished we had at least one more day to do nothing but enjoy the Loch. Definitely...

"The Bakehouse was as described and it was spotless and well equipment with lovely attention to detail. Newtonmore is an ideal location for exploring the highlands. The village has all the amenities you will need to enjoy your stay. The local hotels do not allow dogs in side but we were able to have drinks outside and we had a lovely meal at the Glen Hotel (outside with the dog). "Very clean, comfortable and well equipped property in a great location to explore the areas north of Fort William. Guests should be aware that the cottage is located adjacent to the Estate's hunting centre, with stags shot in the day brought back to the area around the property. Bear this in mind if it could be an issue. It also has possibly the smallest TV in existence – not great while there was a rugby world cup on!"

"Cottage 10 is exactly as advertised. Very comfortable and clean. Great location. The Abbey grounds are beautiful; walk into town is very nice. And the walk from the Abbey along the South Loch Ness Trial is wonderful! Also, great location for day trips west to Isle of Skye and north to Inverness and beyond."

We had everything we needed for an all too brief stay to celebrate a milestone birthday. The views and peacefulness are indescribable. Management was always responsive and we would all gladly stay here again."

"Excellent location with great views of the canal locks. Fort Augustus is a great base to explore the West Highlands. Clean property. Only black mark was the hot water boiler failed every day of our visit. It became apparent that this was a long term issue which had not been addressed by the owner. Running hot water is a key essential for any property."

"For the amount of money I think some improvement on the sofa was uncomfortable and rather low. The oven stopped working on Thursday and owner called but wasn’t fixed for us to use for rest of stay a token of thirty pounds was given for a meal. "The restaurant was only open on restricted hours and next to my pod I had noisy neighbours who had a hot tub which was very noisy "

"All facilities were available for our needs. unfortunately the springs in the mattress were broken and there were several lumps which we were laying on which resulted in myself getting a sore back. The sofa bed needed cleaning as was very stained. On entering the apartment the floor was very uneven whilst walking on it because the whole apartment seemed as it was subsiding."
