"Lovely cottage, very comfortable and homely. The road is narrow, quite busy and there are no pavements, so walking along the road can be a bit hazardous. The walk along the edge of the estuary is pretty muddy and requires boots or wellies."

"I’ve been going to the south hams for decades and we were visiting family for a long weekend. We decided to stay at stancombe farm as we wanted the flexibility of eating in and out. Our accomodation was really well equipped and we cooked a few times and had everything we needed. Microwave, Nespresso, dishwasher. The cupboards had all the little items you often need salt, pepper, vinegar. Location wise just above Chillington. A real credit to the owner. We will be back."

"Getting to Peacehaven was quite an event, the main roads are easy to navigate. The lanes are a different story, narrow with passing places, very constricted by high banks needing a lot of concentration to navigate safely. Wind your door mirrors in unless you want the drivers side damaged by passing traffic on the lanes. Peacehaven once reached gave fabulous views out to Bigbury on Sea, Banntham Bay, Burgh Island and its hotel with the seascape beyond as well as the estuary leading inland. The...

"This was our base for walking the last leg of the SW Coastal path from Dartmouth to Plymouth. It was perfect. Recommend the Hope and Anchor in Hope cove. Averil was a superb host."

"Wonderfully located on a tidal creek, very quiet and picturesque surroundings close to the town of Kingsbridge. Owner has a rowing boat which is available for use moored at the property. Fantastic!"

"Cottage was a very good base for exploring places in Dartmouth. Clean and tidy cottage. Cottage itself had everything we needed. However the cottage could've done with a bit of a make over. Pictures on walls. End of bath. Bedlinen . Bed was comfortable. There was a little hole in the window in the bathroom. Also when you got in the shower you overlooked a public footpath. Overall we enjoyed our stay"

"We had a lovely week here with out two teenagers, the cottage was super clean and had all the amenities you would need, Inc all the kitchen gadgets you need to cook with which makes life easy and saves bringing extra stuff. Great communication with host before our stay and the instructions for our visit were easy to follow. We loved the location and the comfort of the cottage. Just beautiful!! We would highly recommend and visit again."

"Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The view is breathtaking and if you catch a sunset even more so. The accommodation is fine if a little worn around the edges but no big deal. The only things to point out to potential guests is that the WiFi is very slow even by Hope Cove standards. Not sure if there was an issue with it but something to be aware of. In addition there is no freezer just a small ice box at the top of one of the fridges. Worth bearing in mind if you do an online shopping order...
