"You wake up to a wonderful side Porlock weir right in front of your window you see the weir the sea in the morning the sun blue skies and amazing sunsets. The property had everything you need, all very comfortable and cosy. The proprietors are very friendly and helpful. It’s just a beautiful relaxing stay."

"I was visiting my sister who lives in Taunton with my 1yo daughter and we had an amazing stay. The apartment was bright, clean and cozy. It is in a very central part of town and we were able to walk everywhere! Highly highly recommend! Communicating with Malcom was easy and we really enjoyed our stay."

"We had a lovely stay in Blue Anchor, the cottage was so warm and cozy, beautiful views and a much needed welcome pack waiting for us when we arrived. Lisa the host was amazing and we would definitely come back. It was our dog Rocky's first time on the beach and he loved it. Its a very dog friendly place and everyone we met was so friendly. Much recommend! Thank you Lisa 😊"

"The room was fantastic but the check in experience was very poor. We had a printout from an email which said to use the Gileston Manor Courtyard with cream gates as the entrance, upon arrival at 7:30PM (more than 3 hours before check in ended) the gates were locked and the number provided was going straight to voicemail. Texts and voicemail was left with no response. After waiting for 20 minutes with the car hazards on, on a main road, we decided to look around and parked in the Manor Estate...

"An amazing location and super apartment. Hosts very helpful and welcoming, and when Cafe open below very 'hands on'! Thoroughly recommend both Apartment and Cafe. One suggestion, a little more guidance on rubbish and recycling would be helpful, we should have asked but didn’t and only realised that there was a bin for recycling on final day, the marking on bin was towards the wall and we missed it."

"We have a lovely stay at the end of August. The house is very comfortable and there was easily enough space for 8 of us and three dogs! "Amazing house for a short weekend away with friends. We came for Easter weekend with a large group of 19 people. We ordered pizzas from the local pizza restaurant under David’s recommendation which made cooking easier and were great pizzas that arrived nice and hot. We did spot a mouse in one of the rooms however but as people who live in the rural countryside ourselves, it’s expected in these types of properties. "We have stayed at the cottage several times and we love it! The cottage is immaculate. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, even a towel in the porch for muddy dog paws. The weather was mixed but we managed to go walking every day. Walked up to North Hill and saw some lovely Exmoor ponies and our dog loved playing on Dunster beach. We will definitely be back."
