"The hotel is centrally situated, allowing one to walk to many places of interest, shopping and restaurants. It is also a heritage hotel providing a nostalgic experience. Rooms and the hotel has been renovated nicely (I was there in 2016). Could improve in the breakfast served."

"I booked and paid for a suite but got a regular room because all suites were taken. They said it was their mistake and they would correct it but refused to make the adjustment upon check-out. They scammed me, plain and simple."

"Staff and especially mgt needs to try harder. To get room cleaned: at least 2 requests Breakfast: usually a disaster. Not enough staff to keep the buffet supplied and in attractive appearance. No manager around to notice what needs attention. Just not on top of it. Usual dreary selection of stale backed goods. )Fruit was very good) "

"Great hotel. I come to Nepal often and will stay here every time I come to Kathmandu. Great staff. Great room. Very clean. Comfortable bed. One thing to beware of however... Taxis are only allowed to drive to hotel early or late in the day. Rush hour you have to be dropped off a short block away. Not a big deal at all though. Worth the short 1 min walk for the hotel experience! Also, it costs around 1000NRP for taxi to and from airport to this hotel. The hotel takes care of it, even the fare....
