“Brilliant - 1 minute walk from the ICC”
It might not be everyone's cup of tea - no window, small - but that was exactly what I needed!! A cosy little pod-like room, very clean and tidy, and right down the road from the ICC, and 5 minutes walk from Birmingham New Street Station. Excellent position and friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.
“Perfect functional hotel”
Nite Nite is an excellent value, functional hotel. The bedrooms are the size of the bed - literally. Plus a small shower room. There's no space in them, but if you're looking for a hotel to crash in for the night then it's comfortable and clean and has a 42-inch plasma above the double bed. Definitely not for a romantic break but for short work trips, it does the job perfectly.
“'Rabbit Hutch'”
Smallest hotel room i have ever been in. The tv on the wall was over half the width of the room! Two steps from the bed and you are in the bathroom. The toilet was the size of a bucket.
“rooms dont have windows!!”
This was the very first time that I have ever slept in such a small room. The room was as big as my bathroom at home and what was actually the worst it didnt have any windows and no natural light whatsoever. I was so glad that I only stayed one night, wouldnt have managed to stay longer...
“Excellent value in the city center”
This hotel is new and as such was almost impeccable, although there were signs of lack of maintenance so I wonder what it will be like a year from now. The rooms were VERY small - think cabin on a ship - but were immaculate and the bed comfortable, huge flat-screen TV on the wall felt like I was lying in bed in a movie theater. Problems: the heat didn't work in our wing, and when we reported it to the desk, she gave us a list of solutions that made it clear it was a known problem that hadn't been fixed and probably wouldn't be fixed any time soon. There were some lights burned out, in my room and in the lift. It took me a while to figure out how the lights worked, and I had to really jam my key card into the switch to get them to stay on. Overall, the rate was fantastic and it was well worth the value; I'd stay there again in spite of the problems.
“Great value quirky hotel”
We stayed at nitenite as we were going to a gig at the NIA. The hotel was in a great location to be able to walk to the NIA and nearby bars and restaurants on Broad Street, as well as being only a short walk to the shops in the city centre. The staff were friendly and helpful and check-in was easy. Our room was nice and clean, although a little cold, but we really liked the quirky japanese-style use of space and the shower was fab. It was a bit noisy at night as you could hear other guests returning to their rooms but I would expect that in most city-centre hotels and it wasn't a major problem. The next day we had breakfast downstairs which was spot-on. Overall we felt the hotel was excellent value for money and a great location to access the main attractions of Birmingham.
“Great to try for a change. Like a cruise.”
We tried here because it looked so different and it was worth the visit. Very clean and new. Small room but we knew that. Space under the bed to store luggage and shopping. 6ft 1in but fit the bed fine. Movies useful. Very handy for canal and short walk to Mailbox and town. Would recommend.
“Would love to stay again”
Compact and bejou but very comfortable and clean, everything you needed for an overnight stay.
“NiteNite good choice”
Sparkling clean & well kept; great location; reasonable rates. Very nice lobby, with cafe next door. Pleasant staff. Tiny room (didn't care). WiFi in room included in cost, and it works. Instead of windows, room has tv w/ webcam of Birmingham skyline. Would rate a "5" but for two things: 1. hallway noise, including normal walking, is LOUD - some couple had their big breakup in the hall at 3am, hanging out for hours - a wretched night 2. I extended by one night, paying directly to hotel; staff kept saying 'so you want to pay for two more nights?", I kept saying no, but they still tried to bill me for two more nights Apart from those things, which could happen anywhere, this place seems nicer than others in its price range, some of which didn't include WiFi or promised but didn't deliver. A friend's hotel was supposedly higher end but it was shabby, a long walk from town center, and WiFi didn't work.
“Excellent hotel but a little noisy”
This is a great hotel - the staff were very nice and very attentive, the hotel was close to the city and easy to find (good when you are walking). The rooms are really small but not a problem when you are just sleeping there - brilliant big size TV at the end of the bed. The only problem we had was that each room had a self closing door which people slammed at late hours of the nite along with walking along the hall talking loudly so we were kept awake. In every other area the hotel was good.
