"Perfectly situated hotel, easily walkable into Bowness and all its attractions. The Belsfield has beautiful grounds and although maybe could do with a slight refresh it’s still a beautiful hotel with lots of charm and character. Breakfast was good and speedily served. The staff are polite and attentive and big shout out to the barman on Saturday evening who made me the best mai tai I’ve ever tasted. The only issue we had was parking related, we arrived at about 3.30pm on the Saturday and the car park was full. We managed to get a space later once the late lunch visitors left. Next time we visit the Lakes we would choose to stay here again. "

"A hidden gem, on arrival some areas feel a little dated this all helps with the ambience so don’t be put off. Lovely ladies very helpful at breakfast, choice amazing and well cooked. We stayed in one of the chalets lots of room and nice new bathroom, also liked you had your own marked parking space close to room. "

"Good hotel. Nice walk behind hotel to centre of lancaster. Takes about 40 mins but like walking and weather was lovely so suited us fine. Complimentary water, juice, crisps and choc biscuits in fridge which was nice touch. Good breakfast. Overall enjoyable stay."
