It was a nice, comfortable room that showed some signs of usage and wear, but has been very well maintained. Notices were placed that by spring 2015 that the guest rooms will be completely renovated. I look forward to seeing that.

We were extremely happy with the service and room. The only concern I had was the extra fees that we incurred upon arrival and departure ($132.00 total without any extra services during our 3 day stay). I recommend that Expedia and the Sonesta Hotel advise of these fees upfront so that it's not a surprise. When I asked about the fee that was charged to my credit card upon check in (was not advised during check in) I was told there would be no further fees unless we got room service or any other extra's during our stay. Then when check out came I was charged more fees. This was probably in the fine print during booking online, but should be more clear on approximately how much more expenses there are for each day.
The pools are outstanding! You are right on the ocean and no one else is there except resort guests. Splash, the bar, had yummy food by the pool. Our room wasn't ready at check-in. That was the only negative aspect of this visit. The bathroom was beautiful!
