MITSIS usually good anyway but beach really bad

Posted 26-Sep-2014
Pros: It's a MITSIS
Cons: Have a carved joint at evening meal
Location: Nothing to do except walking locally. Taxi to hersonasis 7euros and 5minute ride, but it's like being in blackpool
Very pleasant stay. The decor within the hotel is amazing especially the staircase below the blue domed roof.

Nice hotel at the beach

Posted 19-Aug-2014
Pros: Service, swimming pools, close to the sea.
Cons: Food, wine included into "all inclusive", beer mugs (beer in restaurants and most bars was served in ordinary glasses)
Location: Relatively close to airport and sea port but not in walking distance to restaurants and shops outside of hotel.
Good for family but if you would like to have some actives outside hotel taxi or car rental would be needed. Watersports are available at the beach.

Lovely & beautiful - but not quite 5 star....

Posted 29-May-2014
Pros: Lovely rooms, lovely pools and good food - the set up couldn't be faulted in my eyes.
Cons: The staff - although friendly - were just not up to 5 star quality. Slightly annoyed and patronising, they did not go out of their way to help.
This resort is lovely, and the food is good for an all-inclusive...!! I had a nice 5-day stay with my two kids age 13 and 8, and we were happy to be there, but also happy to go home (kids got a little bored).

Nice hotel but

Posted 29-Oct-2013
Good overall rating. Given a room too far from the kids area. Specified wanted ground floor on booking and did not allocate. We discovered the mini land on arrival and asked to change but they did bit throughout the 7 days even though people were moving out. We had to walk about 10 mins from the room and difficult to dry and change esp with 2 young children. Food lacked variety we had pretty much the same lunch and dinner. Slow clearing at busy times.

Great hotel in run down location

A hotel that owes more to the quality of its staff than its facilities/location

Party of 8!

Posted 15-Oct-2013
Pros: We liked that the buffet area still had a restaurant feel (waiters coming to get your drink orders) and so there was not a feeling of cattle-herding!
Cons: Shame restaurant had to be booked 3 days in advance (if staying Saturday - Saturday the earliest you can eat at a la cartre restaurant is Wednesday)
We stayed for a week in October. We were a party of 8, including a 7 month old baby. As mentioned in earlier reviews, the hotel and its premises are beautiful! The official pictures almost do not do it justice. The rooms, pool area, reception and a la carte restaurants are all classy and elegant. We spent most of the time at the pool, and the atmosphere was one of relaxation and calm, no rowdy holiday makers getting drunk! Some staff were great, but some were not at all interested in helping you have a more pleasant holiday. The staff at the creperie were lovely, as was the restaurant co-ordinator. Food was to a relatively high standard, with plenty of choice for even fussy eaters (we had a vegetarian in our group who was very happy with the food).

Good for the money!

Excellent facilities but the food at the buffet needs to be improved. A la carte restaurants are excellent but you have to wait 4 days before being able to make a reservation.

Great All-inclusive that needs a little tweaking

Posted 05-Sep-2012
Pros: The rooms and the pools are great
Cons: no internet service and no snacking areas
Location: very good location to the beach and the local town
For some reason, I was not aware this was an all-inclusive. If that is what you are looking for then look no further, it has every amenity (except internet service that is acceptable) you could be looking for. The pools are beautiful, the rooms are tremendous, good shower, and nice buffet daily. The down falls are very poor internet service (only available in the lobby) and the only times food is available is during meal times. There is no snacking areas for the kids to have a snack. Also, if you go during he height of the season, be prepared to wake up at 630am just to get a lounge chair by the pool. By 730am ALL CHAIRS are gone!!!!!

An excellent AI hotel - deserving of its 5 stars

Posted 29-Jul-2012 on Hotels.com
This hotel is even better in the flesh than the website photos - it manages to combine opulence with contemporary styling, the layout of the resort is excellent and rooms are stylish and comfortable ( although ours was a little small for a family of 4 ) Food is superb with a good buffet restaurant and several speciality restaurants which refreshingly don't charge any supplements. Bars are great - there's even an adults only champagne bar which is great for a pre dinner drink. Staff are friendly and helpful, the hotel is kept spotlessly clean and there's always room around one of the many pools. The boys loved the creperie/ice cream bar which is open until 2am! Animation team are good and suitably low key, and the mix of guests is well spread with no one nationality dominating. There's a spa that beats many of the 5 star spas I've been to in the UK, and if you take one of their daily special offers the prices are very good ( full bosy massage and scalp massage for 50 euros) We really couldn't fault this hotel, and if all Mitsis hotels are like this one we'll be trying some more.
