"The property was in an excellent position, well equipped and very clean. Communication with the owner was excellent when we did encounter a problem with the shower which was quickly solved. The outside patio area could do with a little maintenance to improve the overall experience as we spent a lot of time sitting and eating outside in beautiful weather and surroundings. We felt that the provision for recycling also needed improving but otherwise the whole experience was excellent"

"We stayed now on two occasions on our journeys north & south to Scotland. The bungalow is easily accessible not too far from the A1 & there are good convenience facilities just off the A1 roundabout less than 4 miles from Austerfield. The bungalow is furnished to a high standard with comfortable sofas & excellent beds & bedding. The location is in a secure park with intriguing deer statues in several places. Well recommended for short or long stays."

"We had a great stay! Thank you to Kim & John! The check in process was so easy. Rang the number by the front door, and Kim was there within a minute to give me a tour of the property, and show me how to use the hot tub. The house is massive! "When searching for a property near to Bakewell my priority was a property all on one level due to disabilities as well as taking dogs. This was perfect. A stunning rural location close to amenities as well as travelling distance to surrounding areas, Bakewell, Castleton etc. The cottage was beautifully warm and cosy with comfortable beds, 1 double and 2 bunk beds and well equiped kitchen etc. The location was stunning, mill stream running in front of the cottage, a pond with a meadow to watch...

"A great little cottage with plenty of amenities, however disappointed to only have 2 wine glasses and 4 mugs for a group of 6 ladies, who all love wine and all love tea, which made it very challenging and annoying. Would recommend for anybody looking to venture to sherwood forest area, as very close to sherwood forest visitor centre. a great Italian restaurant in the village too, 100 yards from the cottage, which was lovely. all in all a great cottage and wouldnt hesitate to stay here again."

"A large and immaculate house. Perfect for large family group of various ages. Kitchen room was lovely and great size bedrooms. We made use of the hot tub a number of times. The games room was very disappointing though. The local area has a number of attractions and perfect for few days away."

"Jonathan and Jane were wonderful hosts. The barn was very warm and well resourced for a Christmas stay. It easily slept 8 and there were plenty of crockery etc. for everyone. We would recommend this property to anyone."

"Parking was an issue we were sent an image a few days before our trip with parking area circled however when we arrived there was no room we were then informed that it was not designated parking for the cottage also no microwave which of course would have been helpful otherwise nice and clean and comfy beds"

"A really characterful cottage with lots of atmosphere, large rooms, lovely views and a good garden. The kitchen equipment is simple but all of good quality. One of the best things about the cottage is its proximity to good walks and the fact that the village is connected by public transport."
