A lovely comfortable cottage. The area was fantastic, nice and quiet next to the Chesterfield Canal and a canal lock with nothing but hay fields to look at, perfect, and the occasional barge. The beds were comfortable, a lovely cooker and for once a nice non-stick fry pan and sharp knives. The "welcome pack" was very welcome after a long drive and included the owners own hens eggs. We also enjoyed the owners own runner beans which he was selling on his little stall by the house so nice and fresh. Our daughter really enjoyed the piano as she is only used to playing on a very small keyboard at home. The house is an upside down house which made the bedrooms very cool which was great as the weather was nice and warm. Loved watching the swallows feed their babies (there were a lot of them) and we even saw the bats! Have recommended the cottage to several of our friends. If you want a rest with peace and quiet this is the place to go. There are also lovely walks along the canal.
