Modern hotel built for short stay business or tourism one km from Chateau and Town Centre but eminently walkable since only Breakfast and Bar Snacks served in the hotel itself. Good size and well appointed rooms with free Wifi which works! Functional and without frills or pretensions.
We arrived early and were give our room and parking space immediately thus giving us a nice long day at the chateau which was the reason for our stay. The hotel is really close to the chateau, its public areas are attractive the whole place is very clean and there is a small outside private terrace with loungers. The staff are very helpful.The only reasons for the two fours rather than all fives were the lift broke down during our stay which was Ok for us as we had small bags and do not mind the stairs but may have concerned some people and as often with Ibis the room was smallish but not tiny or uncomfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel excellent value for money.
Our room opened onto a beautiful courtyard, and we slept with the windows open listening to the rain. The street noise was blocked by the front of the building but in the morning the noise of the maintenace crew and loud guests talking reverberated in the space. The serve a really nice breakfast. Rachel at reception was very helpful.

The proprietor of the hotel is a rude and angry man. From the time I arrived until the minute I left the property, he communicated with my by yelling. When my room wasn't ready (I arrived early), I left to get lunch. When I returned, he asked me for my room number. As I hadn't yet checked in, I said I didn't know the number. He screamed at me that I better remember it next time. I politely explained that I hadn't checked in yet. Didn't he remember me? I had spoken to him no less than 45 minutes prior, and I was the only guest checking in at the time. When I asked for help taking my luggage up three flights of narrow stairs, he shouted at he to get out of the lobby and take my own luggage up stairs. The next morning, he yelled at me for sitting at a two-person table when I was just one person. I tried to explain that I needed to work on my computer, but he insisted on moving me to a smaller table. I will never patronize this establishment again. I hope you won't either.
