"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Calf’s Head, Clitheroe. We attended a wedding at a venue not far from here, so it was a great location for us. All the staff were helpful and friendly and the downstairs bar/dining was an asset to our stay. We both enjoyed a lovely full English the morning after with the option of fruit, cereals and yoghurts. "We enjoyed many facets of our stay at the Lister Arms in early May. The sights and walks are stupendous--there are steep walks and near flat walks along the river and some through stone walled grass fields with lots of sheep. "No frills room at a great price. Staff were really friendly. Fantastic buffet breakfast included in our stay and we also had a lovely dinner. The dining room is nicely decorated and a pianist played in the evening. Could not fault this hotel. Normally stay at the Rendezvous in Skipton, but this hotel is half the price. Will definitely stay again "
