This is a geat hotel. We were upgraded for a special occasion , and the deluxe room was absolutely gorgeous. Great central location with lovely views of the castle, especially at night. Great breakfast, kept us going all day. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights and it was simply excellent! Great Location, service, food, and the room size is surprisingly large!

The Hotel is very nice and the service is great. The rooms are comfortable but the bed in our room was a little bit old. Location and breakfast were excellent.

We had a fantastic time at hotel. The buffet breakfast was brillant, service was excellent & the facilities were fabulous. We have a fantastic time. Hotel is also very central and very close to airport drop off and boarding points. I would recomend this hotel to anybody.

“Great location”

First class hotel, right in the centre of Edinburgh with everything within walking distance. Staff friendly and efficient. Breakfast very good and with a wide time range. Good choices for evening meal. Didn't have time to use the pool facilities. It was a warm weekend and the room was in need of air conditioning, however the hotel did provide a fan which helped. Would definitely go back and would recommend it to anyone.

“Excellent position”

Superb Hotel. Excellent room overlooking castle. Actually not as noisy as we thought it was going to be. Disappointed that pool out of action for whole stay. Breakfasts at 19.50 expensive.

“Geat room, thin mattress.”

Everything was great, the staff, the location and the decor. However, the mattress in our room was very thin and very uncomfortable. For a 5 star hotel, one would expect at least a pillow top mattress if not a select comfort mattress. Staying there for one night was fine but having to sleep on that mattress again is out of the question.
