We just wanted a clean and comfortable room for the night whilst visiting our son. This is exactly what we got, No frills, no fuss just a good nights sleep. Everywhere was clean and the bathroom didn't have any of those tell-tale mouldy patches. A big bonus at this price was the free wi-fi - very much appreciated.

Stayed a few times now, helpful friendly locals, nice location just off the A1 and a couple of miles from city centre.

Good service at the hotel but no soap in room - that was sorted out quickly but room stunk of smoke.

Mattress was old, and had absolutely no support. We woke up frequently with back pains. When I told the receptionist, she just shrugged. There was also no soap in the dispenser. It is being renovated, though the bedrooms have not been started yet. Disappointing. Will not stay there again or recommend.
