“Excellent”

Outstanding location. Old-School 5*. Great breakfast. Great price. We walked downtown each day, never needing to move the car.

“decent hotel for the price”

I have stayed at this Hotel twice. I was satisfied with the overall experience. Our room was very clean and there was a nice breakfast. The hotel wasn't fancy, but if your looking for a decent hotel for a good price, this is a good place to stay. The location isn't too far from downtown( about a $5 cab ride) and there is a FANTASTIC view of downtown at night.

Area recommendations

I would definately recommend the downtown area, expecially 16th St mall. Lots of good restaurants, bars, shopping. The capital hill area is great-lots of museums! Denver art museum is a must if you enjoy art.

“Hotel needs help!”

Well the convenience ot this place and room options could be really good if they would fix it up and clean it up. It appears management has gone minimalist here. I tried my first room card and it didnt work and then got another---realized it wasnt room card, the door latch didnt work right---after playing with lock and about kicking door in, i got in. I asked if they could fix and they said there is no maintenance. The rooms were comfortable and looked clean until i realized after walking barefoot and going in shower that the bottom of my feet were dirty from walking on carpet. the breakfast provided is not really truth in advertising. This place could really be a gem if someone cared!

“A Dump”

Bad Breakfast, Room in disrepair, Wallpaper & Paint peeling, and finally we had to switch rooms because of allergies even though we were in a no pet room

“best selection at this price in Denver!”

everything is fine,and just surrounding public transportation is not so good! breakfirst is OK,need add more fruit and some Chinese or Mexican food!

“Hot or Cold”

This hotel has "Old World Charm" and a heating system to match. The heat was over whelming. When we complained about this we were told that because of the age of the hotel, you either got air conditioning or heat, depending on the season. We had to open the window to get any relief and then had to deal with the traffic noises.

“Very Cool”

They picked me up downtown Denver when I train arrived & allowed me to store my bags while they cleaned my room. (I arrived around 9am) I wasn't able to get into my room til after 2pm. I had asked for a room close to the ballroom where the pageant was being held, they had me in another building, but I showed them the request from the reservation. They then got me in a room in the main building. My only complaint would be the SLOWNESS of the elevator in the building.

Getting around

If you are not traveling with your own transportation, I recomend you go to RTD & purchase a daily pass, so that you can get around less expensive.

“Sub-Par”

Run-down, the bathroom door wasn't the same size as the door frame. The heat didn't work and there weren't enough sheets/blankets on the bed.

“Dilapidated”

I felt like I overpaid for the room I stayed in. Had I not used Expedia I could have taken a look at the hotel and moved somewhere else.

Go across the street to the Sheraton or down the street to the Marriott.
