“Quiet location...........”

located away from traffic and quiet location. Hotel personnel were helpful and friendly. Room was lacking space in the bathroom. Breakfast was outstanding. If you want a quiet, relaxing stay this is the place to stay. Will consider this hotel on our next stay.

Area recommendations
The Coors Plant area. It has so much property to see and admire.
Getting there
Be sure to use 470 that connects I-25 and I-70, less traffic and great scenery.

“For a Hamption, not great”

I have stayed in lots of Hampton Inns and really never had many issues. My biggest complaint is that the bathrooms had mold and mildew. This really should be taken care of. The mattresses really were worn out and should be replaced as well. Hotel workers were very friendly and very helpful.

Area recommendations
Golden is really a wonderful city, stay there if you can

“Family of four very happy!”

Everything was great and have no complaints. The hotel was new and immaculate, the rooms are beautiful (bathroom too), beds were wonderful (love the pillows), tv was a new wide format flat screen, the staff was very courteous and attentive and the free breakfast had all kinds of yummy goodies including fresh waffles, omelets, sausage, fruit, cereal , and more. I guess if I had to come up with a complaint it would be that the pool is pretty small and they have no SMOKING rooms because I'm a smoker and this is a NON smoking hotel. But even with that they had a little smoking area set up outside for us addicts.

Area recommendations
- Downtown Golden is a great place for a meal and a walk along Clear Creek or the main drag (Washington Street) where there are lots of cool shops, taverns and restaurants. - Also would reccomend an evening a few miles west on I-70 at Blackhawk where you can get cheap Prime Rib dinners and some gambling if you like.

Family-friendly activities
The Georgetown Loop Railroad and Mine Tour is a great daytrip and only about 30 minutes west up I 70 with lots of mountain scenery on the way.
Nightlife
Reccomend an evening a few miles west on I-70 at Blackhawk where you can get cheap Prime Rib dinners and some gambling if you like. Kind of a smaller version of Las Vegas.

“Excellent”

Heather, the front desk girl, was so extremely nice and helpful. She started our stay off perfectly! The room was very nice, clean and bed was very comfortable. I don't know why this hotel only recieved 2.5 stars but we give it 5 based on customer service alone!

“Would go back in a minute!”

Hampton Inn was fabulous. Breakfast every morning had varieties of nutritious & yummy choices. We also VERY much appreciated the coffee/tea bar that was stocked & available 24/7. The conference room had notepads, pens, stapler, printer - everything we needed to carry on. The weight room had every variety of cardio & weights that I needed & had a great workout every morning. Our room had a jucuzzi which we used almost every night and between that & the king-sized bed, I would recommend that room to ANYONE! The cleaning crew & front desk crew were AMAZING, friendly, efficient, kind (even though many could not speak English) and helped us with any question or request. It was also a happy perk that I could do laundry, as we stayed for 12 days. We had never stayed in one hotel for that length of time before, but Hampton at Golden/Denver West had everything we needed to stay much longer! We will recommend your hotel & chain to everyone who asks. Thank you SO much to everyone there that made staying there more like staying in the guest house of family. You have a great thing going on there! We very much appreciate your work ethic.

Area recommendations
Staying at this Hotel was great, as it was out of the city so much quieter, but on the flip side of that, there was not much to walk to as I didn't have a car. My husband took the car to class every day, and I'm a walker, so would have loved to take a long walk every day, but wasn't safe as only major highways surround the hotel with no sidewalks for safety. I can tell it is a growing area, but right now the most disappointing part of the trip for me was that during the day I really couldn't go anywhere. I DID keep very busy inside the hotel however, with all the fabulous ameneties. When my husband was done with class for the day, we would go to dinner at one of the many restaurant choices by the Colorado Mills Mall, only about 5 minutes from the hotel by car, but too dangerous of a walk.
Must see
Pike's Peak was amazing. I was a little drive, but worth the scenery & the donuts!!

“Perfect spot to get to Red Rocks”

The hotel staff were friendly, it was clean everywhere (including the parking lot) and the windows even partially opened if you wanted to enjoy the fresh air from the foot hills. Will stay here again when I visit Red Rocks again.

“Great Stay”

We had a great stay after driving from another Hampton in Utah. The hotel feels new and is in great condition. The staff was friendly and we were completely satisfied with our accommodations. Glad we decided to stay in Golden instead of Denver.

“PERFECT FOR ON THE WAY TO SLOPES”

WONDERFUL. Stayed while sking on the slopes. Good breakfast with hot items such as waffles bacon sasage eggs and hashbrowns. rotates so different food every morning. I stayed in the jacuzzi suite, it was very nice. Microwave and mini fridge in room. indoor pool and hotub were nice as well. Offers compimentary cookies each evening in the lobby. Very close to all highways. Food nearby are jack in the box and subway along with a delicious pizza place i dont remember the name but its near subway. about an Hour drive to vail, co. 30 minutes away from closest ski resort (echo mountain) and about 45 to and hour to the main ones like coppermountain and keystone. beds were cozy. heater worked well. THE ONLY COMPLAINT, BATHROOM DOOR WAS TOO CLOSE TO TOILET....it was a little awkward trying to get out of the shower and out of the bathroom with the door being so large and in the way...not too big of a deal but still annoying lol. Other than that this hotel is PERFECT

Area recommendations
For budget skiers/boarders - Check out echo mountain, its good for beginners and its cheap plus you can stay in denver and drive there. They also offer student discounts so bring your college ID. I HIGHLY reccomend driving to Castle Rock, CO to shop at the outlet mall there. Very beautiful little town with great shops. Also, if you have time drive to Vail, CO its beautiful and unlike any other place in colorado. definatley a unique place to visit and GREAT skiing if your budget allows. I went to another outlet within the mountains called silverthorne outlets I believe, it was okay but nothing compared to castle rock...plus it was freezing in the mountains.
When to go
I went during christmas break, it was great.
Getting there
I drove from Dallas, TX..... long drive but saved alot of money from airfare and rental cars.
Getting around
You need a car here unless you stay at an actual ski resort.
Must see
Vail, CO
Shopping
Castle Rock Outlets... and all the other outlets. Alot of great shoping around the area.
Dining
Eat before you hit the slopes. Food there is way over priced. Also, very good italian place within walking distance from hampton inn. Very good pizza and pretty good price too.
