"Staying in the Tartan Room at the Dunclutha Guest House for one night was really enjoyable. The bed was comfy, the room was nice and cosy, Julie and Richard are very friendly people. The property has a restaurant on property called The Orangery which is advertised as a premier Fine dining restaurant and serves lunch and dinner. Unfortunately the breakfast apparently is not a part of the fine dining experience. otherwise it’s a lovely place in a good location with a great staff!"

"The property is a bit old but clean and economical. Free breakfast is a plus. The things I did not like were: the shared toilet located across the room even though I booked an ensuite one - called and messaged the owner but no response; only 1 hanger available for our jackets, and the motion-activated light in the toilet automatically shuts off so I was having a shower in the dark lol"

"We just did an overnight stay here. Staff was extremely friendly. Room was great spacious and clean. Food in the restaurant was great. Private parking in the rear. The only small downside was it is in the center of town on a busy roundabout and was a little noisy into the late hours. "

"Looking for somewhere to stay while attending the Drovers Tryst Walking Festival, this was in a good central location, easy to walk into the town centre, with a supermarket for supplies just round the corner. Excellent value for money. I was welcomed and impressed with the room facilities and the little extras such as bottles of water in the fridge and bathrobes.
