We had such a good time here, the location is excellent, there is a lake a walk of 3min in front of the hotel. It has fireplaces in the front room with board games and original furniture, enjoyed every minute of our stay, the food is so good it worth coming for it on its own. If you are looking for a place on this part of Ireland look no more. Its amazing!
Second time we have stayed here. We enjoy everything about it and my Lady looked forward to fresh scones and tea at four o'clock along with the champagne and Paul on the piano. Wonderful place with wonderful people. Just remember it is a very wonderful old building.
The hotel is located in a very secluded location, The road to the hotel is quite a driving challenge however the views are nice. This is a quiet spot suited to a very specific crowd such as golfers and anyone looking for a restful stay,
Renvyle House is a beautifully situated and historic country inn. The owners have preserved much memorabilia from its early days as a home of a noted Irish writer and surgeon. The food in the dining rooms is excellent quality and well prepared and served. The waitstaff is international and works hard to please. The surrounding countryside is rugged and beautiful. Our room was spacious and well furnished. Special recognition for the upstairs library, the house bar/pub, and the turf fires on either end of the adjacent lobby area. As a special treat, local performers put on a play in the library one evening about Sligo native William Butler Yeats and the women in his life.
Ballynahinch is a luxury hotel with all the trimmings, and it has a pub built in that extends the ability to enjoy your self.
The staff are spot on and the rooms (we had a superior deluxe) are all you could ask for.
The hotel is set in a outstanding setting next to the river and it is so beautiful.
Our meal was a culinary delight, served by European staff who really know service.
I would definitely return if we come to Ireland again and recommend it to others.

Hidden Gem in the West of Ireland! For anyone visiting the West Coast of Ireland this is a must visit. Right on the beach, pet friendly and the nicest staff that I have ever encountered! Very cozy country hotel with amazing chef and the best Guinness in Ireland! We will be back!
"Comfortable, welcoming near to centre of Clifden"
Easy to find and ideally located. Just under 10 min walk to the centre (slightly uphill on way back) where there is a good selection of restaurants and bars. Very welcoming with tea and cake on arrival, together with local information, latest 'what's on brochure' and menus for local eateries. Very clean and comfortable, and an excellent cooked to order breakfast with plenty of choice. Tea and coffee available in the guests lounge. Deserves its three star rating and would definitely stay there again.

Home to rugged mountain peaks, a multitude of lakes, and sandy beaches, Connemara is the name given to the western portion of County Galway, which lies between the Lough Corrib and the Atlantic, and is not always marked on maps. Most tourists come to Connemara to experience nature and see how the landscape has inspired painters and writers throughout time.
