“Excellent stay at Westin!”
Stayed at the Westin only for a night but it was wonderful! The hotel staff was very friendly and informative. Room was spacious and clean! Great location and just an all-around fabulous experience. Highly recommend!
“Great hotel, convenient option after seeing a show, State Street shopping”
Great. No complaints. Nice private drive and entrance.
“Quality of Service Based on Ethnic Status”
Our family is made up of multicultural family members who are Anglo, African American, Asian, and bi-cultural. If was made very clear that the level and quality of service was based on the staff's perception of social, economic, and ethic make up. It was a very disappointing experience for our family.
“Had A Great Time”
This was our second visit to the Westin Chicago River. We loved the room from our room.
“Convenient”
We attended the Miyavi concert at the Chicago House of Blues, which is directly across the street from the Westin. Miyavi, the House of Blues, and the Westin were all wonderful. A great weekend!
“Chicago - great trip”
We've stayed at many downtown Chicago hotels and have enjoyed almost every place we've stayed. Westin River North is in a great location. Easy access to the Riverwalk for a walk/run/bike then out to the lake front. Perfectly located around many restaurants within easy walking distance. Theatres are close. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. We were initially concerned that they gave us the first room off the elevator, but can honestly say the room was pretty sound proof and we didn't hear the elevator traffic. We would definitely stay here again.
“canadian visitor May 2011”
Great hotel. Concierges were amazing re suggestions for Blues and shopping and food. Very clean and had a great view.Hose of bllues is right across the street- don't have to worry about getting home after the show.Great small reasonable grocery store within 5 blocks if you want to keep some wine and cheese in the room.Great Australian Merlot for $5.99Loved the city.People extremely friendly. Count on $40 for trip to Ohare is using a taxi.
“Great Location and Ambiance”
The location of the hotel was wonderful, walking distance to all restaurants, lounges and shopping in the area. Staff of hotel was very nice yet the night staff were not fimiliar with the area. Rooms are very spacious and clean.
“Poor service”
As a Starwood Preferred member, I rather expected a modicum of service. But almost two weeks after I had to cancel my trip due to a family emergency, I am still waiting for the call from a manager I expected when I first called before I was due to check in about getting a refund.
“Westin Chicago North”
I was happy with this hotel. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and it was relatively quiet.
