“Perfect Central Location”
Perfect Central location with parking, leave your car and walk around the City!
“Good location but needs work”
The hotel has an excellent downtown location and free parking. The rates are also good for a downtown location. However the room did not feel "clean" and smelled musty whenever we came back. The fire alarm back up battery had not been replaced so we were kept awake on our final night by a continuous peeping sound from the alarm warning that the battery needed to be replaced. A great location and good value but it has drawbacks.
“Filthy Room in great location”
Our room was filthy room and was never cleaned when we stayed for two nights. It was full of loud drunk people...not a family place.
“Older hotel but excellent price for the location, walk to everything! Great dinning 5 minutes away.”
Second tine at this modest priced hotel. Great location just 5 minute walk from everything in safe location with free parking! If you are budget minded stay here.
“right in the heart of the historic District.”
We were received with friendliness and found our room clean and comfortable...We were able to walk around the historic district and found places to eat with in walking distance..........
“Best thing is location”
Best thing about this hotel is location. Right in heart of historic district. Easy walk to all downtown sights. Free car parking and easy to find. Room equipped with all expected amenities, but decor very dated and not clean (marks on walls, minor mould in shower, dust accumulation at edges of carpet etc).....just not up to expected standard. Front desk staff freindly and helpufll.
“Great Location but...”
155 Meeting Street is a great location, close to The Market, waterfront, restaurants, bars. However, the hotel was old, worn out looking and needs a remodel. It was cheap and that is what the rooms looked like...but, there is lots to keep you busy in Charleston so the only time we spent there was to sleep.
“great location, dirty hotel”
This hotel could hardly be in a better location, but it is old and dirty....I wish I could attach a picture of the horrible stains in one of the chairs. It looked like someone had thrown up on the chair and the staff let it dry and then brushed the chair off...disgusting.
“Located in the Historic District of Charlston”
Wonderful location in the Historic District of Charlston, with free parking for your vehicle.
“our hotel room in Charleston, sc”
Our room at the Day's Inn in downtown Charleston was adequate but very, very small. However, the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and were pleasant at all times.
