“not bad”

next to a mall which is convenient. comfortable bed. free WIFI. a little noise from the I74 highway, but not too much. but the housekeeper didn't change our towels(they were in the bath tub, not on the rack BTW). and the curtain wasn't so good. the light could come in from the rims of the curtain.

“Fine for overnight”

Only stayed one night .Had reserved a king bedw/ sofa but was upgraded to a one bedroom. Lots of room, comfortable bed but decor was nothing fancy. Had continental brkf in the morning with waffles so we chose to drive a bit and go out for a full breakfast.. This hotel was fine for overnight especially if you get a decent price but I'm a bit picky so may have chosen another for an extended stay.

“Great service”

We had a great experience at the Baymont Inn. We went to visit U of I for homecoming. The rates were very reasonable and the hotel was clean. They first floor seemed to be recently remodeled. The rooms were a little older but very clean. We loved the convenience of having a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The staff was helpful and even though the hotel was completely full for the weekend, they were able to move us to a room near our friends. We were able to call a cab to take us to/from campus for $4 a person. We will definitely stay at this hotel again next year!

“Sport Fan”

Conveneient location for a college sports fan. Located about 3 miles from the stadiums. There is a very nice mall located next to the hotel and friends staying at nearby hotels stated their rooms were not as clean as ours. Many restaurants around along with a bunch of closed businesses. I would stay there again if I were to visit Champaign again.

“Great location, wonderful sleep”

Friendly staff, really comfy bed - cable was a bit messed up, but we were too tired to care. Easy location - decent breakfast. Really friendly staff. No complaints!

“Slow Internet, smells of cigarette smoke”

Generally OK. Low budget with sub par breakfast options. Internet speed was slower than dial up. They advertise "high speed". When I inquired about the slow speed, they brushed it off and simply said, "yeah, our Internet is slow". Although my room was non-smoking, the whole place stunk.

“Good place to stay! The bed is so nice!”

The bed is so big and soft. I had a good sleep. Takes about ten minutes walk to the shopping mall. Highly recommended!

“ok...”

I've never done this before, but I had to request a new room. The first night I had a room on the second floor. The interstate traffic noise was horrible! I asked for a new room on as far away from the interstate as possible. They were able to give me a new room and were very pleasant about it. However, the room smelled like smoke even though it was a nonsmoking room. It was an OK hotel. Not bad, not great, but OK.

Area recommendations

I stayed in Savoy the last time. Less convenient but quieter!
