“A great stay at a super hotel”
My wife and I stayed at the K and K Hotel Opera for four nights this September and really enjoyed it. Not only was the hotel extremely comfortable but the staff were exceptional. They were all very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They ordered taxis for us and even booked them to bring us back to the hotel at the times we wanted. They really put themselves out to be helpful. The hotel is very modern .The rooms are very well planned and extremely clean and pleasant. Breakfasts were first rate and the three evening meals we had were superb. The hotel is right next to the Opera House and many of Budapest`s sights are within easy reach. If we are fortunate enough to visit Budapest again we will certainly stay at this hotel.
“Great location”
The hotel was lovely, staff very friendly and helpful. Great location - very easy to walk everywhere and if you don't fancy walking there is a metro station 30 seconds around the corner! Good choice for breakfast, altogether a lovely stay. Would definately go back.
“Excellent location and price”
Very helpful staff, flexible as they allowed late check out. excellent hotel location very central. hotel very good standard, clean rooms , powerful shower. room small side but not an issue for a weekend break
“Good choice”
The hotel staff were very helpful; the room was immaculate with tea/coffee provided. The hotel is well placed to visir the Pariament buildings, the Basillica and not too far from the touristy part of Pest. Plenty of cafes etc around and of course excellently placed for visit to the opera. Only a shortwalking distance from the river and the metro so you can get to the other side of the river easily. The breakfast was excellent; every kind of ceral, fruit, meats, bacon etc .There was the option of Japanese (I think ) food as well as a glass of champagne if you so wished. A good choice.
“good hotel right in the centre of pest”
K+K is well located in the centre of pest, the underground is just round the corner. room is smaller than it looked and sounded online but comfortable clean and did the job nicely. Hotel staff very helpfull. I would reccommend the airport shuttle bus ASM service as good value for money and easy to use (discount if using Malev airways) flight back also included BA passengers who payed more for same flight so use malev. use the one day public transport ticket or 10 trip single ticket (single trip can be purchased in hotel). would reccommend this hotel and location good,
“Perfect Hotel for a stay in Budapest”
Myself and my husband have just enjoyed a 3 night stay at this hotel. It is right next door to the opera house, and has shops, bars, restaurants all within easy walking distance. We walked into the city centre (about 15 mins), we didn't have to use subway/metro or trams, everywhere is easy to walk to. The hotel was a brilliant choice for location. Very modern rooms, although a little on the warm side (we like the airconditioning to be a little cooler), other trip reviews had mentioned this as well. But the breakfast was lovely, the gym and sauna look brand new and everything was very clean. Bathrooms were lovely, walk in shower, toiletries/towels nice, and a decent hairdryer. Flat screen TV is good, limited channels, but some sky news/films. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the free internet in the lobby was useful to search on Budapest info. We fell very lucky as the Christmas market started on 20th November 2009. It is well worth a visit. The only taxi's we used were the ones from and back to the airport which costs around 20 euros each trip. (Zona Taxis). You can walk over Chain Bridge to the 'Buda' side of the Danube (glad we didn't stay that side - a lot less to do). The castle was interesting, we took the fenicular to the top. The shops are very expensive though (not a shoppers paradise), eating/drinking out is reasonable, and plenty of variety.Pricier than we expected. All in all though a brilliant hotel in an interesting city.
“We would return”
Lovely hotel in a convenient location, ideal for exploring Budapest either on foot or public transport. Full inclusive breakfast which keeps you full until evening.
“Very impressed with every aspect of the hotel.”
This was our first time in Budapest and we needed a good hotel experience as part of our visit. The hotel is conveniently situated near to one of the main streets in the city. It is very well maintained and extremely comfortable to stay in. Being early December and rather cold in the city we were pleaed to discover that our room was beautifully warm and welcoming. Add to the quality of the hotel the helpfulness of the staff and we were able to enjoy a wonderful four night stay. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
“Great location”
Easy access to shopping on Andrassy Street, the Opera and great restaurants near by.
“A Real Treat!”
The K&K Opera Hotel was exactly what we wanted for our short stay in Budapest. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough to help us from booking restaurants to giving directions. The breakfast was superb and the rooms modern clean & comfortable. Free internet access in the lobby was a great bonus too. The hotel is in a great location right next to the Opera house and just off the main Andrassy Utca, handy for the metro & high class shopping! There are lots of good restaurants within easy walking distance and it's not far to walk to the main sights. We will definately stay here again on our next trip to Budapest!
