"Nice easy going environment. Welcoming staff. A 10 minute walk or short bus ride into town. Sadly no breakfast but I was very happy with what I ate off the menu - a gammon steak platter which sorted me out for the rest of the day after my arrival. Had a nice room (room 3) with plentiful teas, coffee, hot choc laid on overlooking their lovely sunny beer garden, which wasn't so great when I tried to get an afternoon kip on day 2 and a heavy rock band struck up. Unlucky lol, one can't choose to stay at a pub then complain about the noise, so as the old saying goes if you can't beat them join them, so I got out of bed and got a pint. Not my kind of music but the band were good at their game and created a great atmosphere amongst a happy dancing crowd. Only real let down was returning that night to catch last orders before bed only to find that the bar was closed and no other bars nearby, but all the action was earlier on and everyone was tired I guess and everyone else had gone home. I had beers in the room which they also didn't mind. Overall an enjoyable stay and I would have no qualms about booking there if I was to visit Penzance again."

"A castle, with a view of the ocean, what more could you ask for? Well, maybe not a facecloth, or an in-room refrigerator, or an outlet on hubbie’s side of the bed for his CPAP, or an easy walk from the train station with all your luggage (call a taxi, trust us on this!). But the grounds are big and beautiful, including a “secret” garden, an outdoor pool, and a small golf course. The staff are unfailingly friendly, helpful and beyond competent. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. And there’s a lovely shortcut down the hill to the beach and town. And what a great town! Crooked little cobblestone streets, with lots of shops, restaurants, bakeries, and art galleries. The Southwest Coastal Path is there if you like hiking, with spectacular views. In summary, there’s a lot to love about the location, and the Tregenna Resort itself."
