A Fine Hotel but Deluxe for a Hampton Inn

Posted 11-May-2015
Pros: Everything. The staff was extra courteous and and attentive.
Cons: Dishes instead of plastic plates at breakfast
Location: Boston Crossroads
We were frequent guests at Hampton Inns throughout the northeast since my daughters were travel softball players. We also stayed at Hampton Inns for college visits but this was fantastic.

Great hotel in a not so great part of Boston!

Posted 13-Apr-2015
Cons: My experience at the hotel would have been more enjoyable if the hotel provided transportation to and from the subway station.
Location: The hotel is directly across the street from a homeless facility which creates an unsafe appearance. Also across the street from a hospital.
I have no complaints about this hotel. Light sleepers however, may be disturbed by ambulances at night. There is one restaurant at the hotel and a few others about three blocks away on Washington Street. Getting to Washington Street requires walking past three desolated blocks. Additionally, Boston seems to have a high homeless population and this hotel is located across from a shelter. As such, there are a few pan handlers and homeless individuals gathered across the street from the hotel during the day and night. I was not bothered by anyone as I walked around nor did I observe any guest being bothered. The parking lot at this hotel is $20 less per day than other hotel parking lots which is a plus if you use the public transport system to get to and from the hotel. Keep in mind that its about a 15 minute walk to the nearest train and a cab to Faneuil Hall is about $12. If you must take a cab then paying the extra parking fee at a hotel in the downtown area is more cost effective. I'm not sure why the hotel does not offer transportation to the train station.

Best bang for your buck!!

Posted 12-Apr-2015
Pros: Everything!!
Cons: Security took to long to quite the noisy people in the next rm. No shuttle to Haynes convention ctr. Could have at least shuttled us close to it
Location: Great neighborhood. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
The staff was excellent. The hotel is nice. All the amenities you could need. The neighborhood was nice and the people were so friendly.

Clean and Comfortable

Posted 06-Apr-2015
Pros: Very clean and the rooms were very comfortable.
Cons: The breakfast was very good, but I felt a bit unhappy that it was all served with plastic knifes, folks and plates that were then all thrown away.
Location: Quite close to the Silver line (which is a bus line, despite it being on the metro maps), from here you can get anywhere downtown fairly quickly.
I was happy with my stay here. The area is fine, though there weren't many places to eat close by and I wasn't very impressed with the restaurant next door. The hotel is very comfortable, the staff were friendly and the place was clean. I would stay here again but would probably bring my own cutlery to avoid all the waste of breakfast.

Two nights

Posted 04-Apr-2015
I went with my complete family two nights . Rooms are very clean. The hotel is in Mass Ave close to q lot of good restaurants. Free and good wifi. The breakfast is good. We rented a car and just for 25 dolars you can use a nice parking lot the whole day just in front of the hotel.

Great service! Hot chocolate & coffee all day long & great breakfast. The hotel is at a central location, with fantastic connectivity all over the city. All in all, an awesome experience.

Student trip

Posted 30-Mar-2015
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: day hotel staff and shuttle service
Location: Not the best neighborhood. I would not recommend doing anything in this area.
The Hotel staff that worked 2nd shift were very nice and helpful. The staff that worked during the day were very rude and referened your the group that booked through expedia if you had booked through us we would be more accommodating. The free hotel shuttle was never available to us which in one of the big reasons I picked this hotel. Before I booked through expedia I called to see if we could have room that were co-joined with each other. We were told yes they could do this. But we found out that they didn't have this type of room setup. The breakfast was good and the concierge was fabulous. Just small glitches that made the stay at the hotel less enjoyable.

Nice hotel close to attrations

Posted 12-Mar-2015
This hotel is really nice. Enjoyed our 2 night stay! Kids enjoyed the pool which was only 3 1/2 feet deep but was perfect for my daughter being 6 yes old. The only problem was being woke up at 430 am from the fire alarm going off...

Decent hotel, fairly close to tourist attractions

Posted 02-Mar-2015
We stayed for 3 nights. The area was a little sketchy but we didn't walk around much due to the weather.
