Excellent location, clean room, good value

Posted 11-Dec-2014
Pros: Very central & convenient to Placa Catalunya, subways (Urquinaona (3 mins) Catalunya (7 mins), La Rambla (8 mins) + Gothic area + shopping + eateries + harbour area Great rain shower Clean Room Good Price Cons: Room décor dark due to dark coloured furnishing and sparse lighting Eating area only opened for breakfast so no full service restaurant in-house (but there is tapas bar next door) Typical of Spain hotels : a) no tea/coffee and kettle in room for hot drink b) rooms have no carpet so noise & footsteps are magnified upstairs c)1 pillow per person and pillow are soft (so ask for extra pillow )

Love it, even under construction.

This place was the perfect choice for us. Walking distance to everything of interest to us...Guggenheim, Bellas Artes, stores, Plaza Nueva tapas bars, Casco Viejo (old town). Rooms are ultra modern, clean and new, though smallish. Warning: many rooms have glass doored shower and vanity outside closed off toilet area. Don't stay here with a non intimate. I have a small private room next door to my friends who are sharing. An affordable luxury at these bargain rates.

Great place.

Nice hotel with friendly staff, not too far away from everything. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. The restaurant downstairs is great for breakfast. Café con leche and prosciutto sandwich are 1,50 euros. That's a great away to start your day.

Nice hotel in centro

Posted 25-Nov-2014
Pros: Nicely decorated ; good location; good staff.
I liked this hotel with a couple of exceptions and felt that it was a good value for the price. What I didn't like - the bathroom has poor lighting and few amenities - no Kleenex, bar soap or shampoo/conditioner. Th hotel was sometimes noisy - construction next door. I would have also preferred a hotel with a lobby bar.

Perfect base to explore the city.

It was a quite area at the weekend but walkable to most things. There were nice restaurants very close by and the roof terrace was a nice supprise on arrival and very reasonable priced cava. It's a great place to stop for a holiday visit and the bed was so comfortable. We'll defo be going back.

Extremely friendly, cheerful, polite and helpful.

Pros: The reception staff
Cons: The communication between the reception staff and the staff responsible for the room services.
Location: The Hotel was in a quiet area of Barcelona. There wasn't a lot ' going on".
Bathroom was not user friendly, shower screen bumped into the toilet upon opening. very limited space. I booked a second night, upon going to my room the door would not unlock with my key card, had to go back done to reception to report the situation, after reentering my room I had not been supplied with any towels at all. The Reception Staff, however, were amazing, I couldn't have asked for more.

Modern hotel in great location

Posted 18-Oct-2014
Pros: The size and comfort of the room.
Cons: Perhaps sound proofing could be better.
Location: As above
We stayed for 4 nights at Hotel Constanza. It is in walking distance from Placa Catalunya, where the airport bus terminates, and from the attractions of Eixample and of the Old City. Very spacious and comfortable room with spacious shower room. The Bruc 33 tapas restaurant next door served good breakfasts and meals. We would use it again.

Modernes und zentrales Stadthotel, viel Baulärm,

Posted 14-Oct-2014
Pros: zentrale Lage, Dachterrasse

Unusual to be able to book a single room. Ideal for business travellers.
