“Be prepared to pay for parking”

Nice hotel in downtown Austin, but you either had to pay the hotel for valet parking or pay at a cash lot (no in and outs) nearby. You would have figured the hotel would at least make valet parking complimentary with booked room, but guess I was wrong. Talked to concierge about parking situation and was pretty much told to pay for hotel valet or pay for parking at a lot at my own risk. Overall a nice and well kept hotel, just be prepared to accept the parking situation.

“Excellent location and hotel”

Highly recommended. Excellent location, walking distance to downtown attractions and dozens of restaurants. Clean, quiet, and spacious room and bathroom. Excellent included breakfast plus free internet.

“Good Old Hampton Inn”

Hampton Inn is almost always reliable. You know what to expect. The Austin downtown Hampton Inn was no exception. Except for a broken toilet lid, which was quickly fixed, everything was great. The location, in particular, was very good -- right next door to a wonderful crepe restaurant.

“I will always stay here when in Austin!!!”

Had a great stay here. Loved the fact that coffee was always available as well as hot coco and assorted teas. The complementary breakfast was much better than I expected. I will stay here again.

“Nice hotel in a great location!”

I stayed here for two nights, and I was quite satisfied. The room and the bathroom were clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but nothing sub-standard either. Decent size room, cozy down comforter, no smells, no outside noise, plain but good bathroom, complimentary hot breakfast (eggs, sausage... mmm!). The room was good... and the service was great. The people at the front desk were very nice, welcoming and helpful. The only downside to my stay here was that parking was $23 a day. Yikes! I haven't stayed at any other downtown Austin hotels, so I don't know if that's standard. I definitely wish I didn't have to pay that, though. Other than that, I would stay here again!

“Make the most of your money”

Best price for the most.. Great rooms and bathrooms, super nice breakfast, free Internet, and perfect location. Nothing fancy but has everything one needs. Last time I had stayed at the Radisson and Hampton is much more affordable and offers a lot more.

“Would stay again”

The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were nice and helpful. The manager even helped us load our bags into our car when we were leaving. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the shower was one of the quietest hotel showers ever! Free WIFI is a great bonus, and the free breakfast had a nice selection - cheese omelets, sausage, french toast, muffins, cereal, oatmeal, fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels, etc. The hotel is just minutes away from the State Capitol building and within walking distance of most of Austin's attractions. PF Chang's is directly across the street and offers room service to the hotel. The only downside was you have no choice but to valet park for $23/night. But overall, this hotel is a great choice for a stay in downtown Austin.

“great downtown location”

The location of this hotel is ideal for 6th Street and other downtown activities. Rooms were basic but clean. Staff was very nice. Valet at $23 is the only option for parking. Great continental breakfast.
