Entertainment
Despite the Hotel being just outside the city centre, the whole of Stockholm is within easy reach. The train to Södra (southern) station (at Medborgarplatsen) takes just six minutes, so you can enjoy Södermalm with its wealth of exciting restaurants, bars and stores (this is where you’ll find small and unusual shops, including a huge range of fashion), along Götgatan, and in the trendy SoFo quarter. If you’re looking for larger stores, take the train to T-Centralen, where the you’ll find the landmark shopping streets of Sergelgatan, Drottninggatan, and the upmarket Gallerian mall. This is also close to Stockholm’s historical and scenic Old Town. For culture, the Old Town is hard to beat, with attractions including the Royal Palace, the Cathedral, Nobel Museum and Riddarholm Church, with origins from the 13th century. Stockholm’s theaters are only a few minutes’ walk from T-Centralen. Tickets for a wide range of sightseeing trips are available from reception.
Stockholm’s entertainment centers on Kungsgatan and down towards Stureplan. Take the train to the Central Station, walk left along Vasagatan to Kungsgatan, where you will find Oscars and the Cosmopol Casino, while there’s a series of nightclubs all the way along Kungsgatan down to Stureplan to your right.

“Right next to exhibitions halls”
Stayed here for two nights before and after an exhibition, staff friendly and helpful and we benefitted form excelllent rates as the exhibition halls were quiet. Hotel has a couple of bikes you can borrow altthough the surrounding area is not great, would be worth taking the bikes on the train into Stocholm. Breakfast was excellent and evening meal in the restaurant was good and not too expensive for Sweden. I would stay again if the rate was right.
“great value for money”
Had a great stay in this hotel. Its only a couple of stops from the centre of town, and its much more affordable than hotels in the city centre. The room was comfortable and well done, and the breakfast was spectacular. The gym was a bit disappointing, but I went for a run near the hotel and it was fine. Great value for money considering how expensive Stockholm can be,
“Convenient Suburban Stockholm Hotel”
Good location to drive or take the train into downtown Stockholm. Great buffet breakfast.
“Wish I could sing the hotel's praises....”
I stayed at the Rica Talk Hotel for 3 nights. The temperature in my hotel room was 24 degrees (and the windows don't open). A handyman (who was soooo lovely) was sent to investigate Unfortunately the temperature didn't go down. The hotel staff at reception moved me to another room and unfortunately that night I had the same problem. The temperature would not go below 24 degrees. One of the staff came to my room to investigate and the handyman returned. They were extremely professional and it was obvious they were doing their best to help and they couldn't believe how hot is was. They they gave me a free upgrade to a suite and finally I was in 19 heaven for my final night. I think the room was able to be cooled down because, unlike the standard room, it had vents in the ceiling and along the walls. As room comfort is highly important I am unable to recommend this hotel, especially as Europe heads into summer. For those who don't mind a hot room - the breakfast was extremely good, with many options. Coffee machine, tea and juice were also provided. Both hot and cold meal options were available. Being a vegetarian I was pleased with the variety of fruit/vegetables. They even have gluten free bread! Reception staff were absolutely lovely and were so professional and genuinely polite. They did their best to solve the problem. Have not come across such excellent hotel staff before. Easy to get to Stockholm Central (Mastra train). WiFi was also very good.
“Stunning Stockholm”
The hotel is on the outskirts near the 'International Fair' area. It is close to the rail network however I had a car so I can't comment on the rail journey. The car parking is secure but comparitively expensive on top of the room cost. The rooms are fairly spacious and light. and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was exceptionally good and plenty of it but a little busy as the hotel was fairly full. Overall very good value for money and I would definitely stay there again.
“Astonishing breakfasts”
The enormous breakfast spread of quality items in a cheery room was a great way to start each day. Rica Talk is right next to the Stockholsmassen, the Stockholm RInternational Fairs and Congress Center.
“Nice hotel to stay at for conventions at the Stockholm International Fairs”
I picked this hotel because it is literally right next door to the Stockholm International Fairs Convention Center. The Alvsjo commuter rail station (part of the Pendeltag line) is within a short walking distance away and only two stops away from the Stockholm Central Station, which takes you to anywhere around Stockholm. Central Station connects with the Arlanda Express train to Arlanda Airport. As for the hotel - well, it was very clean, and the beds and pillows were soft, and the service was very efficient. There was a funky glass shower which had minimal borders with the rest of the bathroom floor, so that water did tend to leak out all over. The rooms have very dark curtains, so if you want to sleep in and catch up from jet lag, you can eliminate almost all the light in the room, which is nice. The complimentary breakfast is excellent, lots of eggs, bacon, sausage, meatballs, cheese, preserved Swedish stuff (fish, etc.), cereal, juice, etc. And oh, lots of crusty Swedish bread. Yep, those Swedes sure like their bread thick and crusty. The front desk staff was OK. Some were friendly, some not so friendly. Since most of them were young Swedish women, they were at least quite pleasant to look at, whatever their demeanor. The hotel has a small workout area, but no pool. There is internet access, and two free computers near the front desk. However, to print out stuff, e.g., your online check-in boarding pass, you have to use a pay computer. Bummer.
“Very poor Customer Service”
We are very unsatisfied with our stay. We booked a book through Expedia and the room is supposed to be guaranteed for late arrival. Upon arrival (not very late, i.e. 9.30pm), we were told that there were no more rooms available, and so we were going to have to sleep in the conference room on the top floor. They obviously modelled the conference room to act as a room when the hotel is full, but it still had none of the amenities that the hotel is offering in the other rooms, i.e. black-out curtains, reading lamps, TV comfortably visible from the bed.... Upon check-out, we expressed our discontent and we were told that Management was going to contact us. They didn’t do. We wrote and got no reply either. We then contacted Expedia and although they have been very helpful getting in touch with the hotel, the Manager promised Expedia they would contact us and they never did. What can you say... Total disrespect and certainly not four-stars service.
“Problematic hotel”
Very far from downtown. Lousy restaurant. No room service. Lounge/ bar very modest. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable, clean rooms. Nice staff. Worth staying here only if one has to be all day at the convention center and only wants to sleep afterwards.
“¨&”
