Stayed here for just the one night on business it is located in a nice country setting with a large outdoor area which on a summers evening would be a nice place to chill.
The staff are extremely helpful and the rooms which are in a separate annex are well furnished and have a modern bathroom and interior, the food at the pub is of good quality.
One note for you mobile phone users the signal is very poor but they do offer free wifi.
This was a stopover for us and a great choice en route. Room was over the pub and was clean with en suite. Staff was welcoming and the food excellent. Price included breakfast of your choice and had good food for dinner. When booking this b&b be aware that it is situated on the main road. Although not busy at night, the occasional vehicle does seem extra noisy if you like your window open. forget about a sleep in as the morning traffic increases.
Could not fault the place, very comfortable homely and clean. The owner greeted us, was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was excellent could not get better anywhere. We only stayed one night but will stay again highly recommenfed, but you will have to book wel in advance

Welcoming staff. Excellent location - some interesting walks around the river and easy access to Dorchester, Weymouth and Portland.
Comfortable room on ground floor. Bathroom small but adequate for a short stay.
Breakfast was excellent - a lovely range of locally produced food and the Compote was to die for!
The dog-friendly pubs a short walk away [recommended by the owners of The Manor House Hotel] catered for real ale fans [at The Royal Standard] and wine enthusiasts + a very good menu at The Old Ship, a bit further away but well worth the walk.
Keith & Sue made us feel so welcome , totally recommend to all that are looking for a place to call home away from home. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Actually we miss the Pink House already. Thanks again Keith & Sue for you're hospitality.
All the best
Steve & Lynleigh.
