"What a gem! I was so sad to leave the property! Everyone was so charming, the facilities were stunning and the art pieces surrounding the property were magical! Marco was the first person we met on a rainy night and he could not have been more gracious! We stayed in one of the cottages and it was such a beautiful ambiance! "Lovely hôtel - perfect for Lake Windermere. Facilities in the hotel are great: there are even wellingtons you can borrow to do a woodland walk. The restaurant is fantastic with high quality food. The lounge and reception area have wonderful open fires which make it feel really cosy. Our feature room was fantastic and roomy."

Delicious and ample breakfast, tailored to your needs with plenty of tasty options which set us up right for a long walk. Super comfy bed, warm, little nice things like milk and good advice on walks and local sights. They also gave us biscuits to keep us trucking on our walk on our way out the door. "

The location is perfect for being close to the village centre and a great base for visiting surrounding areas. Cannot recommend enough and will be definitely visiting again. "
