"We have visited The Swan at Streatley 5+ times in total over the past few years. For us, as we live relatively locally, it's a nice place to get away and enjoy a night away from home. Cleanliness is superb, as you should expect, as is comfort. All rooms, whichever size, are brilliant. However, the ones near the stairs, such as 21 I believe, have some noise if people are heavy on the stairs. However not a reason not to say and I believe they're one of the cheapest rooms. "My flight was delayed by almost 2 hours, any longer would have meant I would miss the last train from paddington to London, I called the reception and was put at ease by the person, I think it was Nick, reassured me there would be someone available to book me in. "This is somewhat like other Holiday Inns. The menu is also the same. Bed was comfortable, room was relaxing, wifi okay. This car park was free to residents. Some of the staff here were more interested in chatting up some of the guests, than other Holiday Inns I have stayed in this year (2024)."

"Super central in Reading... Clean, well-equipped. Lovely little pool and sauna area with pool/gym towels - all free for guests - great to keep the little ones occupied on a rainy day. Parking at the hotel's car park itself is costly at £19/night but they can validate some local multi-story car parks within 7-8 mins walk so not paying more than £7-8. Can also use the hotel car park to drop off luggage but it does take a little while to make your way in. "

"The staff was absolutely wonderful and accomodating. The Breakfast was always fantastic. I would suggest they get a softner for the towels and maybe a face wash cloth. But; that was a minor inconvenience. Also; person booking should validate they got the B&B rate because I got it the 1st week but Expedia didnt add it the 2nd. "

"The hotel is in a great location. Definitely an upmarket feel, lovely views over the river and the bridge and church. Service was excellent by everyone we encountered. The bar and restaurant areas are really nice and comfortable, food and drink was great. Easy parking, plenty of it. We had a four poster delux room with river view.
