"Booked the hotel purely for the swimming pool for the grandchildren. Pool was great. Room was ok. Beds very comfortable. Had to have the pillows and duvets changed as my husband is allergic to feathers but that was no problem and done very quickly. Not much choice of food in the bar for the grandchildren so we ate elsewhere. "

"We had booked the four poster Bridal Suite as the cost could be redeemed with a voucher. The receptionist was very friendly. The decor of the communal areas was a bit dated. The room itself was very large but didn't have the wow factor I was expecting for the Bridal suite. Standard tea and coffee making facilities. Surprised to find no USB charging points. These cost very little to install and everyone uses them these days. Breakfast was included in our room rate, which we were pleased...

"I was impressed with the staff and their enthusiasm. The hotel is a very impressive building although there was some decorating going on in some rooms during my stay. The only blemish during my stay was the television that a previous resident in the room had changed the settings and so it was not possible to get standard channels."

"Arrived at 2am from Gatwick, which was expected.The hotel was extremely quiet and we slept well. Unfortunately the night porter had told us that breakfast would be available until 10.30am, which is the case at the weekend but not on weekdays. When we arrived for breakfast at 10am the staff could not have been more helpful and offered to cook us fresh bacon rolls. "

"Lovely hotel. We opted for the Sutton Suite which was large and well laid out. Service is super friendly, but not always as helpful as it could be. Both 1772 and Yû are reasonably good and sensibly priced. Don’t bother to get breakfast included. It’s good but buy it when there. Included options are limited. Spa is great."
