"Fantastic - can't wait to get back in the summer."
We had a great time. Children friendly which is a big bonus!! Staff fantastic. My only negative was our room had a stuffy smell and there was a very noisy pipe which didn't stop rattling to after 12!! Apart from that highly recommend this hotel.
The B&B is really good. The outside is wonderful, the inside is very good, small but comfortable rooms with everything. The price is reasonable, the staff is friendly.
If you plan to go to Glendalough, you can arrive in half an hour of walking (so better take the car :D). It's really near Laragh town, they have a restaurant and a small shop.

Booked into Summerhill for a two-night stay in one of the courtyard rooms at the rear of the house. Good choice in view of the two weddings held during our stay which added some life to the time spent there. The room was fine being clean and adequate for what we wanted. More hangers would have been good. The floorboards were very creaky. The second night we had some German neighbours in the next room being very noisy at 1 a.m. while we were trying to sleep. We didn't therefore appreciate the phone call from reception telling us that the people downstairs were complaining about the noise my wife and I were making. The breakfasts were excellent; having smoked salmon and melon as a starter doesn't happen that often!

This is a first class, up to date facility. The family that owns it was very welcoming, the facilities were the most modern and convenient we saw in a bed and breakfast and the breakfast was outstanding. The location is secluded and somewhat remote which was exactly what we were looking for. We hiked through the forest area and over to a golf club which was a short hike down the road and it was absolutely charming. The only possible negative is that due to its remote location both internet access and mobile phone connectivity were spotty. For us, that was a plus since we were looking to enjoy being away from work - not to do more work.
