"I highly recommend this hotel. In addition to being only 10 minutes away from the airport, it was an inviting hotel (unlike other airport hotels). The staff were pleasant and helpful. Free candies and apples were available at the front desk in case you needed a snack. The room was impeccably maintained and charmingly appointed with lavetory necessities (in case you forgot your toothbrush, for ex.) and nice selections of coffee and tea. Pocket Guide: 3 Stars Hotels in Stuttgart

Your 3 Star Hotel in Stuttgart

Stuttgart has a splendid choice of attractions ranging from the historical and cultural, to the scenic and natural, to the downright quirky. Stuttgart’s three-star hotels offer the perfect blend of comfort and amenities with excellent value, and wherever you base yourself, the city’s efficient S-Bahn system makes it easy to take in all the sights.

History and Culture in Central Stuttgart

Consider starting your visit in the city centre. Stroll around the central Schlossplatz, then take a tour of the New Palace, with its grandly Baroque chambers and apartments. A wander around the corner takes you to the Old Castle and its collection of ancient and medieval artefacts. There are two interesting art galleries marking opposite corners of the Schlossplatz – the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart is a striking cube housing modern artworks, and the Württembergischer Kunstverein’s collection is gathered under a dome topped by a golden deer. For an entertaining break from the norm, head to the Pig Museum where over 50,000 pig-related exhibits await you, as do the beer garden terrace and a knuckle of pork.

Stuttgart’s Green U of Parks

Few cities are blessed with a better choice of open spaces than Stuttgart. The city centre is notable for its Green U of parks, with the verdant corridor of the Schlossgarten connecting with Rosenstein Park in the north, and flanked by Killesberg Park and the Parkanlage Villa Berg. Killesberg Park is gorgeous – you can take a miniature train tour, and climb the observation tower for unparalleled views of the city. Rosenstein Park is a haven for nature lovers, home to the mighty Wilhelma Zoo and Botanical Gardens, one of the largest of its kind in Europe, and Rosenstein Castle’s Natural History Museum.

Stuttgart’s Mineral Springs

Stuttgart boasts one of the largest sets of natural thermal springs in Europe, straddling the Neckar River next to Rosenstein Park. So why not soothe the day away with a stay in DAS LEUZE Mineralbad or MineralBad Cannstatt, with their choices of mineral-enriched pools, spas, saunas and other pampering opportunities? The LEUZE even has a rooftop sun deck providing handsome views of the city.
