First night dinner was a little confusing as we were told there was no fish on the menu but later saw other guests order fish! Second night's dinner made up for this lapse and was excellent. Room air conditioner a godsend in the hot nights of September but needed a stairway to the stars to turn on or off and then was very temperamental. Even with degrees the lighting system was virtually undecipherable.
Overall a pleasant 4-day break.

Pleasant hotel near cliff walk. Hotel does not have sea views. Staff were friendly. The swimming pool was heated, clean and a reasonable size and mainly empty so we enjoyed that. The breakfast was good, buffet style.

I was a single traveller. I arrived at the hotel by taxi after 9 pm. and was given a warm welcome by Stacey the receptionist who kindly showed me the hotel facilities. Stacey was very helpful throughout my stay. My room was very spacious for a single and the hospitality tray was well stocked (and restocked on subsequent days). The bathroom was also well stocked. I found the room very comfortable and I was not troubled by noise from adjoining guests. There was a good choice for breakfast (cereals, yoghurt, fruit, toast, pastries, cooked breakfast) available on a help yourself basis. I did some walking along the cliffs while I was staying there but when I needed to go to St Peter Port I used the bus which conveniently stopped just outside the hotel. Each time I returned to my room I was impressed with the standard of cleanliness. I thought it was an ideal place for a relaxing break.
I found the Collinette online and to be honest. I didn't want to spend a fortune. A single room, which by-the-way was bigger than some doubles I've stayed in, cost just £67 a night including a very good breakfast with sufficient choice.
The hotel and the rooms a very tastefully decorated. I would say that it's demographic was for the mid 30's to 50's and it has a vibrant but not too over the top night life. The evening meals were, I'm really sorry to say, very average and I'd probably recommend eating elsewhere in the evening if your looking for a higher standard of cuisine. If your just looking for food though, it's perfect! And very reasonable. (Sorry I really didn't want to say that). Everything else is bang on!
