The Spa was way too busy. It was impossible to get access to the outdoor hot tubs as people got in early and never left them for the whole session. There were lots of guests, including us, who missed on that experience. I think some sort of fair use system must be put into place because I reckon this must happen all the time.

What a great place to stay. We enjoyed the apartment, clean and well maintained. The check in was easy and the location was very convenient for us. We also we grateful for the parking.

Here’s a polished, ready-to-post review: Crossbasket Castle & Hotel has to be one of the nicest hotels we’ve ever stayed in. The room was absolutely beautiful, thoughtfully designed and elegantly decorated and the bathroom was spacious and luxurious. Breakfast was outstanding, with fantastic quality and choice. Most of all, the service truly stood out: every member of staff was attentive, welcoming, and professional. A wonderful experience from start to finish, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a special stay.

Room was very basic & ensuite was cold & unwelcoming with a shower over bath with a shower curtain which I haven't had since I was a teenager 40 years ago.

We loved the breakfast, lovely choice and healthy options too. Beautiful views and great prompt friendly service. Both dining rooms are visually wonderful. Rooms are nice, our original room lacked the wow factor and was very standard however for our last night the hotel upgraded us and the room was truly beautiful. Location was nice and quiet and walking distance from the town. Dinner menu lacked vegetarian options and detailed descriptions of meals. Lots of nice restaurants in the town that had good variety. The pool area was just about to be renovated after we left, it was very much in need of some TLC and not overly relaxing, steam room extremely run down. Children are also welcome in the area and unfortunately we witnessed two boys along with their mother be extremely rude to 3 other guests using the pool. They almost hit one of the ladies doing lengths and were visibly intruding on her space when the rest of the pool was available, splashing and shouting, it was very uncomfortable to witness as their mom laughed and encouraged it, no staff were around to diffuse the situation. We recommend a trip to Arran, we were lucky enough to see the dolphins whilst travelling by ferry. The ferry terminal is within a quick drive of the hotel.

Comfortable bed, lovely staff, nice bar. All good really.

The hotel and spa is hust amazing. Second time staying and it did not disappoint. Staff very freindly and accommodating. Room was great, beds were so comfy. Had the best night sleep. The spa facilities are an added bonus. Felt so relaxed.

Quality room. Staff excellent.

Furnishings in room were rather dated but linen and bathroom clean. Our room had only a velux roof window which gave poor light for make-up etc so if that is important, ask for a room with a normal window.
