Rooms were very clean and quiet. Staffs were very helpful in general, and vehicle used for transfer to Disney land was classy. Hot spring was awesome and relaxing. Restaurant food were great quality. Overall highly recommended.

The hotel was sitting in a very nice neighbour hood with short walks to Nanjing Rd, People’s park among other attractions. Staffs were excellent and thoughtful, and super accommodative to our requests. Buffet in the morning is highly recommended, with an excellent choice of local and international foods.

We absolutely loved at stay at Chateau Star, it was more then what we expected. Breakfast buffet was exceptional. Staff were friendly and helped as much as they could given language barrier, really only had 1 staff member who spoke English which was great as we weren't proficient with the translation apps immediately. Rooms were clean and we were super comfortable. There were plenty of restaurants and cafes, along with sone corner stores a short walk away. We will definitely be staying there again.

I gave the 1 start to Expedia,not the Hotel, the Hotel was wonderful the staff, the room, everything was perfect about the Hotel. I booked a 4 adult room and Expedian booked 2 adult 2 chicken, which was so wrong and I ended up buying a second room just because Expedian mistake, so disappointed.

If you’re booking this place for an amazing room with an amazing view and a bath tub by the window you will not be disappointed.
If you are booking this for the pool area, don’t get your hopes up, it feels more like a public bath house than a luxury hotel pool, similar feel with the spa.
The overall hotel and rooms are nice, I just felt like they needed a deep clean and a bit of TLC, grouting etc. light switches and AC seemed to have a mind of their own and didn’t always respond to pressing the light switches.
I loved staying here, but that’s my constructive criticism. It misses a few of those tick boxes that take it upto being a world class hotel. More of an Instagram hotel that looks great for the pictures

Great location to reach the Bund, Yu Gardens, Nanjing Road on foot. Hotel staff were super helpful and patient with the language barrier. They assisted with booking airport transfer and ordering fresh fruit via online app that required a China phone number. Traffic in the area gets very busy in the evening, especially weekends - bear this in mind if you are taking a taxi back from outings - getting dropped off a few streets away and walking a few minutes might have you tens of minutes stuck in traffic.
Laundry facilities are in the same room as a few exercise machines next to the reception. Breakfast selection changes slightly daily and includes a decent variety. View from the room over the bund was fantastic.
